A hotel room easily accessible from every destination in Barchelona on foot or by train. The room and the bathroom were totally clean every day with new sheets and towels! The owners were very kind and happy to answer any question! wi fi access is better from a pc. The balcony of the hotel is a fantastic placet to eat breakfast... More

Juana and others were so sweet and helpful! The rooms are large and beautifully decorated, each with its own style and color pattern. Everything is clean and works properly. We had a balcony in our triple room, and used the available refrigerator to keep breakfast and drink items daily, so we could enjoy relaxing on the courtyard deck. After traveling... More

Great place! Juana, who is the owner, is really kind. The rooms are confortable. The staff is kind and helpful. Just 2 squares away from Paseo Garcia, the main street that will take you to art and shopping area. The "Casa Batllo", "La Sagrada Familia", "La Pedrera", famous arquitecture of Gaudi are really close by walking.

In April 2014 we spent 4 nights in the Turismo Urbano. The location is excellent- just 5 minutes walk away from Playa Catalunya and Las Ramblas. There is also a metro stop round the corner. It was initially difficult to find as based in an unmarked apartment block. We had to count the numbers of the houses then wander round... More

In August 2011 I stayed with 2 friends in Hotel Turismo Urbano Barcelona for 4 nights. Reasons why you should not book this hostel: • The sheets smell like wet dog and are at least twenty years old. There also was a marihuana smell, every evening. • The (only) shared shower was terrible and very dirty. Its like on a... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
