The hotel is very well located within easy reach to all sides of Barcelona. The room was clean and pleasant & had latest decor. It had wifi but did not work well so was unable to use it. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment due to the fact they had no food for people. Please see my photos that I took.... More

This hotel was centrally located in the heart of Barcelona, just a short 10 minute walk from the Catalunya Plaza and train stop. We didn't use the wifi provided on in the hotel, so I can't speak for the signal quality. I was travelling with my husband and we were both surprised by the size of the room, much roomier... More

Very nice hotel - OK breakfast. This hotel are placed very central in the city just next to the Univärsitet Metro station. Not to long from the Rambla or Place de Catalunya. The room was well cleaned, the aircondition very efficient and the bath clean and good. The service was good. I recommend for a weekend in Barcelona anytime. And... More

Dark, dank and needing a major overhaul. I had to stay here for a night to meet up with a tour group, otherwise I would not have chosen this hotel. We could not get WIFI in our room, the A/C did not function properly(at all in our room), the bed was old and worn, the pillows were even deflated. The... More

Great location for a hotel in the center - the AC worked nicely (weather was 40 C at the time) - the Wifi was stronger downstairs than on the first floor but it was ok. The breakfast was sufficient - it was nice to eat at the hotel instead of trying to find a place to eat. The room was... More

This hotel is in the center of the city and is only a few meters from the metro station. The rooms were basic and could be on the smaller size depending on your stay however for me and one friend they were brilliant. The only complaint we had was that the air conditioning wasn't working however the staff were understanding... More

This was the worst hotel we stayed in while in Spain. We have stayed in 2 star hotels and hostels and this one didnt make the grade in many respects. We had a standard room for most of our stay but had 3 room changes in 4 nights. One room, the double bed was up against a wall, so one... More

This central, clean hotel was welcoming with a comfortable bed. The rooms are small and there are no major facilities within the hotel. It is a resting place only. However as such it does the job. The staff were friendly and helpful and everything we needed was on the doorstep. I wouldn't bother booking breakfast as there are plenty of... More

I stayed here with a friend for 3 nights, as part of a BA deal. We stayed in room 106 which had a balcony of sorts. The location was great as it was just a couple of minutes from Placa de Catalunya and La Rambla, and there was a metro station a few metres away. The room was small and... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
