We've just returned from a 4 night stay at the Barcelona Apartments. 2 adults, 3 kids (8,13&15). We chose the apartments on price, it was self catering and the reviews read on this site. First of all Barcelona didn't disappoint, we had a fantastic time, and will return. Taxi ride from the airport took 15 minutes and cost 29 Euros.... More

I stayed at Barcelonaguest in the month of May 2014 with 5 other friends. The location of the apartments was good and allowed easy access to Las Ramblas and many other touristy sites such as Casa Batllo. The host spoke very little English, however transactions were smooth and without difficulties. The apartment was clean, neat and comfortable. There was sufficient... More

House is very old so if you are expecting nice quiet night, forget it... You can hear absolutely everything...!!! (toilet flushing, lift, neigbours, shower, foot steps...). Apartment is situated just 5 min from metro station (which is good) in the middle of gay part of Barcelona, which I was not told... Pictures on website looks great, reality is completely different.... 2 double... More

My husband and I and our two teenage sons stayed for 8 nights. It took some getting used to because it was warm or cold in the apartment. The noise from the street was really bad. We bought earplugs and that helped!. The shower sprays all over the bathroom. This could be easily fixed by putting up a curtain. Towels... More

We arrived after a short cab ride (just 20 Euros for 4 people) from the airport. The apartment was located in a great location--near 2 subway stops (Urgell & Universitat on the Red line). There is also a supermarket literally just around the corner. Martina was waiting and ready to check us into our room. She gave us a quick... More

I enjoyed the location of this modest apartment. It was clean, had a hair dryer, fridge, stove, micro, tv, but the wifi did not work. The rooms were clean and small. I liked the apartment and walking to the supermercat to buy fresh fruits and coffee to enjoy in the morning. The apartment is conveniently located about 2 blocks east... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
