rented apartment on the 5th floor in Barceloneta (grau i torras). if you like La Barceloneta with its characteristic neighbourood this is definitely a wonderful solution. elegant, modern and clean. very close to the beach. fully equipped (wifi included). just a warning for people having problems of deambulation: do not rent highest floors since stairs are tiny and high. it... We liked the appartment because of the rest in Barcelonetta. the good reach of the beach and the city. there is a supermarket around the corner and on every square a bar or restaurant. Ritchie gave us some valuable tips for lunch, dinner etc., we liked very much. Greatfull stay! :-)

It was the perfect Appartement during our stay (10 days) in barcelona! Well equipped with everything you need and very well designed . Stephan und Ritchie from barceloneta suites also speak German perfectly and they try very hard that you have a comfortable stay. Thank you guys... we had a little problem with our warmwater-heater but they solved this Problem... More

Located in a really cool neighbourhood and surrounded by local, authentic Barcelona restaurants and tapas bars, this was perfect for us! Lovely modern apartment, very comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, excellent free wifi, sun drenched private balcony and communal roof terrace - it was just brilliant and very cost effective. Check in was very easy and Ritchie also provided us... More

For us this was probably the best possible location in Barceloneta. In the heart of the old Barceloneta quarter - the old fishing district, that is getting a bit touristic, but still has some of the old authentic charm. Near metro, near shops (a fantastic baker), beautiful little flat (with very steep staircase) on the first floor. But what made... More

What a find! Excellent location in the Barceloneta area of Barcelona, which is in between the city and the beach/marina/Olympic port. Apartment was clean and well-equipped and we were given a lovely welcome and plenty info from Ritchie. Loads of authentic restaurants on your doorstep, our favourite was Xirangos. Also lovely bakery, Baluard, and numerous supermarkets. No reason not to... More

We rented apartment Paco 2.nd floor and it was worth it! Location was very good; grocery store was next to it, short walk to the beach, metro station, restaurants, city area.. The apartment was clean and modern and we spent a lot of time on the roof-top terrace. TV didn't work at all but it wasn't a big deal. I'm... More

Visited here June 2013 for a 9 nights and total 10 days at Barcelona. Location for this apartment is really good. Just so close to metro and the beach. Apartment also have a rooftop where you can sit on the sun bed and have a glass of sangria. Kitchen is good and bathroom is good. Both renovated.

This place is incredible! 30 second walk from the beach, 30 second walk to grocery stores and bars, and it includes a dish washer, oven, microwave, stove, cooking pots and dinnerware, balcony, internet connected TV, free WIFI, and great staff. There is no reason NOT to rent this place. For half the price of a hotel you get a spot... More

the pictures and the actual place differ. the floor was sandy when we arrived, the bedsheets weren't that clean, the toilet was not too clean either. we were on the ground floor loft, the apt has a funny smell and is not too well ventilated. the safe was not working and there was a locked cabinet we could not find... Sorry to hear that the apartment didn't meet your expectation. You booked the ground-floor and probably expected an apartment on the upper floors in the same building. The photos on our web are very real to that, but of course the ground-floor is very different to apartments 1-5 Nevertheless, we take any review very seriously. Especially we care about cleanliness... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
