This place is cheap and clean but it was absolutely boiling when we stayed and there is no aircon in the rooms so it was very, very uncomforatble at night! Also the beds are like camp beds...even more uncomfortable. There are a lot of stairs to climb to get to the apartment which was hard with our cases but not... More

This hostel is located in a lovely part of town, just about 5 minutes off La Rambla, Liceu Metro Station and La Boqueria Market. This location has its’ plusses and minuses. The Welcome Inn is great because it's different from a hostel it's actually more like a private 5 bedroom apartment which means it's relatively quiet without lots of people coming and going all day. Before you arrive email them to let them know roughly what time you'll be arriving and then once you're there you contact them and they meet... More

we went here in the morning at 9, wished we could drop our luggage, we called the owner, and his voice sounded like just woke up, and he said ok, and after waited for 15 mints, there was a message, told us to come back at 12, se we walked around with our bag and came back, and NOBODY STILL!... We had an en-suite room, facing the street. It was good-sized, basic but comfortable. Wall just above the bed could use a fresh coat of pain (or the bed a headrest) and the wall photos some more glue to keep the dog ears in check, but these were minor enough to ignore.
