First, location is just perfect! in the city centre, infront of the port of BCN and just in a few mins walking from la Rambla. Good metro conections with the main atractions: Park Guiel, Sagrada Familia, Camp Nou, Magic Fontain and so on. Really nice and warm place to stay, vintage style, with cool chill out area, big kichen, AC... More

Pars Teatro provided the perfect environment for my first stop on my first-ever solo trip! The hostel was located wonderfully, with a short walk to Las Ramblas and to a metro stop that could take you to Montjuïc, Park Güell, or the Barcelona-Sants station. The staff were all incredibly helpful and welcoming. The common area/kitchen provided an excellent place to... More

This hostel had a great location, super clean and cute rooms! Dario was the most helpful throughout our stay and made us feel at home. MUST stay here if you are backpacking and looking to meet great people!

I stayed at this hostel with a group of friends and we all loved it! The facilities were clean and comfortable. I slept well here, which I cannot say about every hostel, and I loved the eclectic decor throughout the whole hostel. The location was good; it was a short walk to La Rambla and the metro. There was a... More

The most welcoming and friendly hostel in Barcelona. They really try to make you feel at home, include all the guests in different activities. Nicely decorated, clean and safe. The location is great, next to the beach and main street las Ramblas. The staff organise nights out, sangria nights and dinners. Do not miss out on Darwin's Pub Crawl! Hasta... More

I would say that the best aspect about this hostel is the location, but they are not bad. However, too too simple, and they may not have to much information - personally speaking I was looking for a walking tour, and they did not have anything to recommend. They are friendly, but it is pretty much the accommodation. The shower... More

Teatro hostel is ideal! If you're looking for a fun weekend with friends, this is the place to go. I liked the lounge downstairs, we met a lot of fun people, we played drinking games and chatted a bit. The staff is very welcoming, and they spoke different languages. They knew every good address to party, from bars to clubs.... More

Most fun I have ever had with a hostel. Staff went above and beyond to insure we had the best experience in Barcelona. Staff member Darwin even taught us how to make tapas, and took a group of us to fun events happening around the city. Great way to meet other travelers from around the world because of well designed... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
