Just a kind of "hostal" with the great value of a little kitchen in the room. Also good breakfast and location! The staff was generally very helpfull and english speaker. Very bad that u can connect only one device using wifi.

The location was a good one and hence it was a choice. For the price I paid, they can do a lot better. Upon check in, especially if you have taken an early morning train or flight, doesn't matter, they make you wait till 1.00 pm and no considerations. It s a common sight that people with heavy bags and... More

The accomodation is in a good location within 10-20 minutes walk of most attractions or a Metro station. The area was relatively quiet although some of the guests were quite noisy on occasion. The room had a little kitchen area witha fridge so that you could keep water etc cool. The bathroom was small and basic but clean and all... More

You need to know that the Residence is not a hotel. As a residence is a very good place. The Residence is near to "Marina" metro station. You can walk if you want. For example, i walked 20 minutes to reach the center of the city (Plaza Catalunya).I walked 10 minutes to reach the nearest beach. You can take the... More

The best price in Barca really. These are university student dorms that they rent to tourists during the summer months. We had a room with a separate large living with a kitchenette. Comfy beds and ok bathroom. Clean and modern ikea like furniture. We used this place to sleep only as we were out visiting and exploring. It is a... More

per 50€ per night for a single person, that place is "ok". this is a student residence filling up studios with tourists during the summer, nothing more. location is great. room decoration is basic. breakfast is poor and packed, i went once and then decided not to go anymore even if it was included. reception staff is helpful but service... The location is great, next to a beautiful park, close to Marina metro station, not far to supermarket, easy access to center. We had a twin room with kitchen, air conditioning, tv, fridge. in the kitchen there was no kettle, nth to prepare a cup of tea or coffee, we had to use a saucepan to boil some water. Beds... More

Despite some people find this hotel's not worth its price, i cannot agree with that: we stayed there in August 2012 for 11 nights and paid 780EUR for a twin room with kitchenette and fridge. Not that bad, i guess. The GOOD POINTS for choosing this place to hang out in Barca are the following: the price, wired internet speed... More

We booked this hostel via their website. They offered a "single room double use" which we thought meant single bed for two people - don't be mistaken, what we got was a twin room - it wasn't comfortable for us as a couple. The most important thing though - don't go there in the summer. Fan is not enough to... More

it makes life difficult not to have air conditioning in june in barcelona. it was very difficult to breathe inside the room. dont ever choose a room that looks to the main street, it receives sun early in the morning, which makes it unbearably hot. curtains dont help to prevent from the strong sun. I was sweating during night while... More

Staying in Ciutadella / Vila Olimpica

Neighborhood Profile
Ciutadella / Vila Olimpica
The sounds of Marina Olympica's rocking boats and clicking mastheads swaying to and fro set an impressive backdrop for Ciutadella and Villa Olimpica. Follow the aromas of garlic, wine, and fresh local fish to the various restaurants running along the marina. A grand bronze fish statue soaring high above serves as a beacon to those searching for the renowned Casino Barcelona or the extremely popular nightclubs which practically lie on the beach itself.
