Amazing hostel with friendly staff and great location. Lots of great advise, information and help understanding the city and the metro system. We were able to add more sites to our already tight schedule. Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's art, Port of Barcelona all the beautiful churches. No time for it all. Food was very expensive.

Rooms are big anough. Showers are separate: for girls and for boys. But staff is on place only from 10 to 22. Not confortable for travelling youth who go out early at the morning and come back late at night to see more sightseeings. Or to switch condition off - and no staff at hostel! And a big flow of... Good location, in between Gracia and Barcelona downtown so its easy to get to the main places! AC wasn't working properly so it was hot during the day if you happen to be in the room, nights are still ok with the fan! Other hostel facilities are good and the staff is responsive! Overall I had a good experience.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Diagonal house is a smaller style, private hostel where the staff actually care about you. It is located very centrally in an apartment building, and provides fine security and lockers with key included. I really appreciate that they have kept a large room available as a dining room, instead of turning it into another... More

It is not luxury but it is fine, it is cheap and it has amazing location. Few steps from the metro station and 5 min from Gaudi¨s houses. The equipment is normal. But the showers are not in really good conditions. There is also small kitchen and fridge. And next door is small bakery - they have a nice croissants:)

The room is ok, bed is ok but the shower is terrible, is so small and sometimes you have to take shower without light (it turns off automatic), is open, there's no place to change your clothes, if someone open the door they can see you naked, the shower water take too long to go away, it's disgusting. Also you... More

I stayed there a couple of days ago (July/August 2015) for a couple of nights. The building exterior is gorgeous like everywhere else in Spain, as are the stairs when you go up. When going into the actual hostel, things look a little dimmer but still not bad at all! Matteo/Matteus, the guy at reception is lovely! My room was... More

I had a great time at this hostel as a solo traveller. I stayed 3 nights and met very friendly people. Has everything you need if you're out exploring all day and only come back to sleep/shower etc. The receptionists were very helpful. Would definitely recommend - its a quiet hostel and would go back again.

I stayed in girl's dorm for three days. The decoration is really nice and the premises are big and comfortable. It was nice to hang out in the living room area with other hostel guests. The receptionists helped me when my phone got stolen. They let me make phone calls and showed me where I should go, they were really... More

Had to cancel my stay. I understand there's a fee for late cancellation. Fair enough. However I was overcharged double the amount that was stated and management have refused to talk to me to remedy the situation after trying to contact them for over a month. Just seedy business practice really.

Staying in Gracia

Neighborhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the center, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theater that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
