Great position, super clean, unlimited hot water, comfortable and friendly service. Highly reccomend them and will be using them again. Plenty of bars and cafes and central to so many sites. Thank you for making our stay easy.

My husband and I stayed in the top floor apartment earlier this month. It was a very spacious 1-bedroom apartment, with all of the conveniences we needed. First of all, staff members Mar and Marvin, were quite prompt to respond to any problems that popped up. Interaction with them could not have been better. El Born is a wonderful neighborhood,... This is the second time we stayed here. The location is great, just inside the Born area and a block from the Gotic area (if I understood it correctly). We travelled with another family and they got an apartment down the hall. Our apartment had three rooms, so each of my teenage sons got their own room. The price is... More

Highly recommend this apartment. We stayed 5 nights in apartment 33. There were only 2 of us and 3 more could have fit. This is the best price for the location in old town. You're in the middle of shops and restaurants. We couldn't have been more pleased. We walked everywhere and there are million taxis if you want to... More

My family of 4 stayed at apartment 41 from 23-26 December. The lady who helped us check-in was very friendly and readily answered questions on where the cheaper and bigger supermarket was, and how to walk to the various sights. Upon check in the apartment was very clean and beds were comfortable, and I loved the provisions eg oil, seasoning,... More

Like most reviewers have stated, these apts are immaculate - the building, hallways, all lovingly maintained. Stayed 4 nights in late November on the top floor one bedroom w terrace as I requested a quiet room. The apt delivered in every way! Comfortable beds (twins) large living area w view of the Santa Maria Cathedral, well equipped kitchen, and church... More

Well located apartment in a lovely area that doesn't seem to feature much in the tour books and we hadn't seen on our previous trips. We travelled with our 20 month old daughter and were a bit apprehensive about taking a city break with her but Mar left out all the items we needed (cot/high chair etc) as well as... More

Second time this year in these apartments. This time we had 43 and it was even better than our last stay. A bit more modern with a better washing machine and nice balconies. Again it was well equipped, clean and comfortable. We were slightly concerned about noise as we had previously stayed in number 14 where the bedroom is set... More

These apartments are extremely well located for exploring Barcelona. They are clean with lots of character overlooking the street which is pedestrians only. It was also nice to be able to return to the apartment during the day during siesta and then go out again without any inconvenience. Even though these apartments are centrally located in a fascinating area they... More

I can only echo what others have already written about BCNGotic. It was my first trip to Barcelona and Mar and Martin helped to make it a memorable one. Located in ElBorn on a great side street, cleaner than my house(lol), and very comfortable. I will stay here again. Next Trip.......

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
