We knew what we were getting ourselves into, just didn't think it would that run down. Bring your flip flops. We were in the private room. We faced the Main Street .At 6am we woke up to cars and fire trucks noise. My boyfriend got up to close the shutters and window. The fire trucks were downstairs putting out a... More

You can't find fault this hotel as it puts itself in 1-star category. The room was approx 80sq ft, with TV which only has all-Spanish channels. Private shower was surprisingly big. Front desk, Oscar is very helpful. And best thing about the hotel Location, Location, Location... On Passieg de Gracia - it's center of the shopping area, restaurants and next... More

We booked this last minute. The location was central to everything we wanted to do. The staff are very friendly helped us a lot with directions and getting around. The accommodation is basic but the facilities where adequate for what we needed as we were out and about day and night. The room has a fridge the shower was great... More

Excellent for Metro, restaurants and cafes, culture. Parking discount. Quiet. Basic. Free WiFi. Lift. No bath/sink plug! Shower was powerful and hot even at an early hour. Staff friendly. Bed a bit hard but for the price room adequate.

In the context of the low price we paid (€100 for 4 nights for 2 in March) I think the Lenin Hostel offers fantastic value for money. We had a double room (209) with an ensuite. The shower worked well and the bathroom was clean with hand wash provided. The room was light and airy, with a second single bed,... More

There's a few things to say, to set context. First, we stayed out of season, for four nights. It cost €100 split between the two of us, for the whole stay. Bearing in mind where the hostel is, I thought that was staggeringly good value. For that, we had a double bed in a spacious room. The shower and toilet... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was basic but a good size with a nice balcony. For the price the location is excellent. I felt the walls were perhaps a little too thin and the service on arrival could have been a little better. However overall I feel this place was great value and excellent base to discover... More

It was located in the center and very close to Casa Batllo and the metro. It was economical and the staff was really friendly and helpful. However, it looked old and a little dirty. Also, it didn't have air conditioning, only a fan which was adequate for September but I don't think that it would be enough for summer. It... More

Booked two rooms for 4 people and gave us huge rooms.. its beside a busy street so expect to hear some noise, although shutting the double doors well helped. They have a fan and electric heater if needed in each room. Towels and linens are provided. If you book through booking.com they would still charge the first nights stay to... More

I did not know what to expect and I honestly did not expect much at that price, but here is what we got: Pros: - Great location, close to great food, shopping and metro. - Clean rooms and bathroom. - Welcomming staff. Cons: Poor sound-insulation. For this price the fact that the rooms are dark tiled and feel cheap doesn't... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
