In the context of the low price we paid (€100 for 4 nights for 2 in March) I think the Lenin Hostel offers fantastic value for money. We had a double room (209) with an ensuite. The shower worked well and the bathroom was clean with hand wash provided. The room was light and airy, with a second single bed,... More

There's a few things to say, to set context. First, we stayed out of season, for four nights. It cost €100 split between the two of us, for the whole stay. Bearing in mind where the hostel is, I thought that was staggeringly good value. For that, we had a double bed in a spacious room. The shower and toilet... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was basic but a good size with a nice balcony. For the price the location is excellent. I felt the walls were perhaps a little too thin and the service on arrival could have been a little better. However overall I feel this place was great value and excellent base to discover... More

It was located in the center and very close to Casa Batllo and the metro. It was economical and the staff was really friendly and helpful. However, it looked old and a little dirty. Also, it didn't have air conditioning, only a fan which was adequate for September but I don't think that it would be enough for summer. It... More

Booked two rooms for 4 people and gave us huge rooms.. its beside a busy street so expect to hear some noise, although shutting the double doors well helped. They have a fan and electric heater if needed in each room. Towels and linens are provided. If you book through booking.com they would still charge the first nights stay to... More

I did not know what to expect and I honestly did not expect much at that price, but here is what we got: Pros: - Great location, close to great food, shopping and metro. - Clean rooms and bathroom. - Welcomming staff. Cons: Poor sound-insulation. For this price the fact that the rooms are dark tiled and feel cheap doesn't... More

We were for 4 nights in this hostel. The hostel is on great location, in the city center. Our room was dirty, and smelled it in the bathroom. We were all day in the city, so we only slept in the room.

Booked this hostel online, was worried initially about the state of the room and hotel. Actually it was surprisingly good, very helpful receptionist on first day arrival with good English speaking. The room was clean and fresh. The shower was in good condition and has strong water pressure. The lift is tiny considering the size of the hostel but perfectly... More

Worst place I have ever stayed in. Man on reception was arrogant and inconsiderate. In the early hours of the morning someone tried to get into my room, twice they barged into it and then twice they were banging on the door. The reception guy was talking loudly on his phone and his voice echoed through the hallway keeping me... More

Very good days ! Perfect, excellent Hostel. Great location, next to "plaza Catalunya", "casa Batllo", Barcelona. Very advisable. Room with new bath, Tv. There should be a category better than Excellent to rate the Staff. All the people I met were extremely nice, kind and helpful.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
