Location, helpful staff, cleanliness - all good. Small room and balcony and bed bit hard. However, for the money it was excellent. Don't expect it to be quiet at night. It is the centre of a city. Try the cafe Papito by the market for breakfast.

I carefully checked the hotels in Barcelona before my visit, because the most one of the most important criteria when travelling is location. Situated in a small street next to Las Ramblas, in the immediate vicinity of Le Boqueria St.Josep, 500 m from Placa Catalunya (and the bus stop to the airport shuttles) I made my choice and booked a... Absolutely loved this hostel. Perfect location near La Rambla, with a small market nearby for fresh fruit and a variety of other goods. Hostel has great Wi-Fi, amazing desk staff and is very clean. Metro is a 3 minute walk away. Would stay here again. Only problem was that the sign above the hostel is small and easy to miss... More

We stayed here for 5 nights. We had a private room with 2 single beds, a small balkony and a shared bathroom which was really nice and clean. The staff was also really nice and helpful. You always have to leave your roomkey at the front desk before leaving and enter by ringing the bell but someone is there 24/7.... More

The location of the hostel is so great. The famous Las Ramblas is just 5 minutes walk and the famous Boqueiria market. I just love it for the location for its surrounded with restaurants and shops. The price of the hostel is very affordable . The hostel are very strict on unregistered guests reminding us that only those who are... More

The location of this hotel is everything. Right next to the La Boquerie market and near the La Rambla. You should know that there are no private bathrooms for rooms, however I had absolutely no problem with the shared bathroom - there's a sink in the room, too. Some might find the neighbourhood noisy, I had no problems sleeping. The... More

The location could not be better, right off Las Ramblas and around the corner from La Boqueria. Can't complain about the price and the staff are very nice and very helpful. A pleasant stay overall and would reccommend.

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
