Overall a decent apartment hotel. Great location, 2 minutes to the tourist main street Ramblas. Showers very small, ca. 50x50cm, and the water was a bit unstable. Clean and nice when we got there though. No blow dryer, shampoo etc. We booked for 4 persons and thought there was a bed for everyone, but as we got there only one... More

over service was very pool!. The shower didn't even have a window on it. it had been replaced with a shower curtain which didn't work!. we wondered why there was a bucket with a mop in the living room ?. it was for the amount of water that leaks out of the bathroom when you shower!. there was nobody at... I was here for a week with 5 friends, all around the age of 18. The apartment itself is big enough and offers a lot of comfort, although the sofa-bed wasn't really a good one. I got to say that the location of this apartment is perfect. The neighbourhood might be a little shady, but there's really not much to... More

Folk will be looking at this place in connection with Primavera, so here's my advice from last year. If you stay here for more than a few days then you WILL have to deal with some sort of mugging situation. In my own case a shady character pretended to stumble into me, but actually headbutted me, and I had to... More

I loved staying here... stayed in a place with 4 other people... great space, lots of room for everyone, nice hot tub in the back, location couldn't have been better and the front desk staff were extremely helpful. Cute and cozy - great for people of all ages - literally steps away from La Rambla, the Market and metro stops....... More

Well, you get a real fancy apartment for up to 6 ppl.. You can't get a better location unless you go to some overpriced 5 star hotel.. Very cool patio, no pool tho, but you're already gettin too much.. The price is magical.. And the bathrooms are awesome... Good job guys

We stayed in one of the duplex apartments with the spa tub. The terrace/garden was a nice facility to have, although the tub was not great - it didn't have a seat in it, so you had to crouch in it. It was not hot, but slightly warm, which was fine as it was august so hot. The apartment was... More

Once you read the fine print on booking.com indicating that "[t]here is a departure cleaning fee of EUR 50 that is not included in the reservation price" (which we didn't, unfortunately - live and learn!), any 'special deals' lose all specialness. The area is noisy all night, the walls are paper-thin and while the apartments are reasonably clean, the furniture... More

The apartment itself wasn't too bad, except for poor maintenance of the kitchen, but the neighbourhood was scary and noisy at night. Put something in your ears and something calming in your stomack if you want to sleep. A positive thing (?) about the neighbourhood is that it was frequently visited by the police (along with prostitutes and burglars). The... More

from checking in we were told in no uncertain terms we must respect our neighbours, thats fair enough, but when you are harangued by druggies and have water poured on your head from residents of your apartment block and knocked up at 2 am 2 party, then told you will be evicted by the police for noise you havent made... Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
