nothing like the photos.... terrible damp smell in the kitchen, some dirty dishes in the cupboards, one dirty towel in the suspicious washing machine, no salt or sugar, nothing but a little dishes and washing up liquid, just one sponge, no cloth. The kettle isn't working properly and is dangerous (won't stop automatically most of the time). The shower in... More

The location of the hotel is good, the conditions of the room should be improved, needs to be refresched. The keys have to been picked in a different hotel, about 10-15 minutes away by foot, which is painful with all the lagguage.

Perfect location, great for metro, shopping and site seeing. Apartment we had was at the back of the building so very quite and had two bathrooms, but of course the view was the back of the next building. but you don't go to sit in the apartment looking out of the windows!!!! Our apartment was a little dusty because I think it had... More

I arranged this through booking.com. Great location to Las Ramblas, Gothic quarter and tourist bus departure. Very safe. Apartment was very clean and functional for a group of 5. Only thing to be cautious about is not everything that is advertised is always provided (for eg. ours said dishwasher included but in actuality was not). Also the biggest hurdle is... More

Clean and fresch kitchen and bathrooms. Really hard beds without any blankets. Upon arrival there were no towels put in for us, but after a phonecall tthere were immediatly delivered. A lot of traffic noice . Close to all main attractions, restaurants and shops. Absolutely OK for a couple of nights. , but you should not have too high expectations.

We came as a family from a cruise trip and wanted to celebrate La Merce in Barcelona. Were it not located very close to the Cathedral I would have given it the lowest score possible. Three bedroom apartment looks old, dark and run-down. Buzzers from downstairs and outside the door do not work. Our relatives booked in other hotels had... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
