This hotel was booked by my family as a birthday celebration surprise for me. The hotel lies very conveniently a short distance from the marina area and La Rambla. Our visit was slightly curtailed by my wife breaking her foot a couple of days before flying out. All the staff could not have been more helpful. There is a lift... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and we can totally recommend this hotel to others! The location couldn't be better; it was close enough to Rambla, beach, shopping and Placa de Catalunya, where, for example, all the buses leaves. There were so many nice tapas restaurants, tabernas and small cafes and pubs in the neighborhood. The hotel was really clean... More

We stayed here in the suite room for my partner's 30th and had a fantastic time. On arriving at the hotel we were welcomed with a nice glass of champagne and quickly checked in to our room. The hotel is really close to Las Ramblas (5 mins walk probably). Great location for exploring Barcelona. We had breakfast and it was... More

Just came back from the Catalonia port hotel staff were great, had carva on arival, rooms were modern and spacious only problem I had was the bed was not comfy it was very hard but can't have everything as paid very good price. They have a free tapas 5-8 everyday that was nice so overall great hotel would definitely return.

The hotel is in a narrow side street but close to many of the tourist areas so you can easily walk to the port, the gothic area and the Ramblas without needing to use transport. The beach is also just a few minutes walk away. Had a double room on the top (4th) floor facing inwards, so no view. Very... More

Great location as it enabled us to explore Barcelona entirely by foot. Unfortunately our room smelt of cigarette smoke, the bathroom needed a good clean and it would have been good to have tea/ coffee making facilities in the room. The bar is in the entrance area, which makes it feel like you're sitting in a corridor - right where... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
