We where welcomed on arrival with a glass of champagne and canapes which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is modern and sleek and the staff very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to advise us about local restaurants and things to see and helped us organise tickets for events. The rooms are very kuxurious and generally... More

My wife and I have just returned from a short weekend break in Barcelona and stayed at the Catalonia Port Hotel. On arrival, we were met with a friendly lady on reception, who offered us a glass of Cava and quickly got us checked into our room. Our room on the second floor was a good size (great for the... It wasn't our first time in Barcelona, but we stayed always in hotels in paseo de Gracia , this time we wanted a quiet place and my husband found this nice little hotel, we loved his location because, it's a quite place, not far to the port, and the rambla is only 200 m far away. The staff is very... More

Fabulous welcome from Kyle on reception with a glass of cold cava just what we needed after a hair raising taxi ride from the airport! We were given a room upgrade as well. Excellent customer service lovely modern comfortable rooms and... More

We have stayed at this hotel on two occassions now and find it very well situated for both scenes town, beach and marina. The hotel is settled back from the busy road and the noise of the ramblas. and is within walking distance of very tradtional resturants and cool tapas bar's. The hotel is very trendy with a good terrace... More

Was really surprised to find such a wonderful hotel in the heart of La Ramblas, without being exposed to the noise or the commotion. It was extremely clean. The staff were amazing - especially "Jan" who was attentive and always helped with a smile. Really appreciative of his service. The room was beautiful as well. Mostly though I would say... More

This was a lovely hotel for a few nights in Barcelona. Nestled between the busy hub of La Ramblas and the Gothic quarter it was perfect for exploring. The hotel was modern, with well appointed room and friendly staff. Fabulous shower!!

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
