What more could you possibly want for a pre/post cruise hotel? It is about two blocks to the statue of Christopher Columbus, very convenient to the Gothic Barrio section and Las Ramblas. We are very fond of La Place Reial and all of it's wonderful restaurants and La Fonda is basically two blocks from this hotel too. We stayed here... More

We stayed 15-18/1/16 at this hotel and were really impressed by the level of service here at a fantastically located hotel. We were greeted with champagne on arrival and shown to room 501 which has its own decking area and jacuzzi on the roof. Just as we were getting used to this Reception sent up a bottle of fizz to... The location of this hotel near the port is outstanding. It abuts the Gothic quarter which is very picturesque. The evening Tea is excellent. If you're lucky you will get Claire who is an absolutely wonderful bartender and local travel advisor.

We booked three rooms between Christmas and New Year. All rooms were of a high finish We had the only junior suite which is the top floor with hot tub. Very friendly staff and very clean throughout. Not sure the breakfast is worth 19 euros, so will try and get it included next time. Perfect location for exploring the centre.

We stayed at the Catalonia Port before leaving for a cruise. It was in a great location near the port, Las Ramblas, lots of restaurants, etc. The staff were very friendly when we arrived after a long flight. The check-in process was easy. Our room was very nice and had a balcony facing the pool. We got the breakfast the... More

After "roughing it" for a week I treated myself to this hotel and it was worth it. The room was stunning and incredibly comfortable. Awesome bathroom with railhead shower. Great location and excellent service from all staff I dealt with. I want to go back and stay longer, it's the perfect spot to see Barcelona from.

This hotel is right around the corner from Las Ramblas and across the street from the port. There are restaurants, bars, coffee, banks, everything you want/need within 5 minute walk and approx 15 minute ride from the airport (approx 30€). The hotel has a small pool and fitness room. They offer complimentary afternoon tea with croissants and cake. It was... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
