The Hotel was within walking distance to the main thoroughfare, attractions, cafes and restaurants. It was exceptionally clean, modern, very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and approachable. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the room was a nice temperature. We had a buffet breakfast, with a good variety of food. The Hotel itself had a very unusual décor... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was a great, comfortable modern hotel. We had a great view of the square below. The bed was amazing especially after 5 weeks of travel. The staff were really helpful particularly when my partner decided he had to go to the football match that night. We had no problems with the cleaning... More

Hotel was beautiful. Only 5-10 minute walk to Las Ramblas but the square it is located on was a lovely change of scenery and slightly more relaxed than the centre. We took the upgraded room and were not disappointed with the room or the fantastic view from it. Would stay here again if came back to Barcelona.

Weve just had a three day break at this hotel and it was great. The hotel itself is very modern and funky in its design, the website pics are spot on. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Having read the many reviews and some of the negative comments here are our personal thoughts The rooms are very smart, not... More

I didn't stay there, just went after dinner to have a drink, and I've to say it was a very good choice. The "value for money" proposition was not good but better, we had glasses of Cava and would have expected to pay double of what we paid just on account of the service, the atmosphere and the location. Not... More

We stayed here a few days ahead of a cruise. Nice, modern hotel. Nice neighborhoods. It seemed safe, even at night. There are a few local tapas bars around. The metro is prob a 20 min walk away, so you'll need to catch a cab. $25-30E from airport. The taxi stand is just out the door. It is about a... More

Barcelo Raval is a fantastic place to stay with a great gastronomic offer. It is well located, at walking distance from the centre and many sites of interest. The staff service is remarkable. I would like to specially thank Paolo for his valuable advice on wines and dishes, as well as for his assistance at any time I resuested any... More

This hotel has a very modern look and feel. Exactly as it looks in pictures. Room was large, clean, and had all the necessities. hair dryer didn't work and when we called down they promptly brought up another. Is centrally and felt safe.

Efficient quick check in . Was upgraded which is always appreciated ! Room was large with a great view . Downside was the lighting in the room . Great if you are in a romantic mood but reading was tricky ! The area is very much " local " and if you are in the right mood the red light... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
