My wife and I have just returned form a three night stay at the Atlas: The hotel is less than 200 metres from La Ramblas and was ideal for a short break, the hotel is quite small and is spotless throughout; the staff are quite friendly and approachable. The bedroom was VERY small but had all the usual features and... More

This hotel is yards from Las Ramblas and has comfortable beds. These are its only good points.Due to the proximity to Las Ramblas the rooms are very noisy so sleep quality is very poor.We paid an extra 4 Euros per person per day for breakfast which we knew was continental so we knew what to expect. What we did not expect on... The hotel is yards from Las Rambles, the Local metro station. It is situated in the old town and is a very good base. We stayed for 2 nights in October. It is in a busy area so can be a little noisy this didn't stop me sleeping on the comfortable bed. I'll be back to Barcelona and I would... More

This hotel has a very good location, being in the heart of the city. About 10 minutes walk from Placa Catalunya, and close to public transportation as well. Walking distances to most of the city's highlights. Decent rooms, not fancy, but good enough for 2 to 4 nights spent in Barcelona.

very nice place :-) due to its location fantastic for sighseeing - just few minutes and you are either on the Plaça de Catalunya or at the Cathedra and La Rambla is just there :-) do not expect large breakfast - just toast, coffee and cereals

I do not recommend this hotel. It is a very, very basic hotel very close to La Ramblas. The rooms were very small with no decorations or any type of atmosphere. Very, very spartan quarters - like a prison cell or dorm room It is also EXTREMELY NOISY - no attempt was made to have double glass windows or something... More

This hotel is small and clean. Nice washrooms. Safe provided. Sercure -- Staff keeps the door locked at night and the front desk is constantly attended to ensure only the hotel tenants enter. There is very good service, including obtaining tickets at a discounted price. Parking is nearby and affordable. Excellent value just steps from La Rambes.

Do not stay at this hotel unless every other hotel in Barcelona is fully booked and there aren’t any park benches available. It is simply appalling. One of the men on reception is literally the rudest, most unhelpful person I have ever encountered. He wouldn’t do even the basics to help us. When we did ask for assistance he kept... More

I stayed with my son for a week in this hotel. The location is great, but slightly noisy. The reception clerk was very frendly and helped us to make some bookings and print e-tickets. I think that this hotel is a good choice for people which like very central locations in the heart of the city

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
