Fantastic. Hotel is superbly located about 50m off the main tourist street, Las Rambla. Clean, quiet, minimalist design. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy, the free Wifi was great. The staff were excellent. Helpful and fluent in English which helped us. We were given a 20min talkthrough of the sites and places to visit, and they were always friendly... More

We stayed a couple of nights here before embarking on a cruise. It is certainly quirky with themed walls in the rooms. Our room was minute with the bed up against the wall, making it difficult to get in/out for one of us, however it was comfortable. I'm only glad I didn't have to make it up each day! Breakfast... Dear SusiedPerth_wa, Many thanks for taking the time to write a lovely review about our little Hotel Curious! According to your words, I understand you were in one of our economic double rooms. They are a bit small, but I am sure, as you said, that you had a pleasand excellent stay. So happy to read this! We look forward... More

This hotel was exactly what we were looking for.A clean but basic hotel near la Rambla. We only had a few days in the city and didn't plan to spend them in our room,Breakfast was included and was more than adequate-yogurt,fresh fruit, cereal, cheese, ham and very fresh croissants. There was a toaster and a panini grill as well. The staff were very helpful and... This hotel greatly exceeded my expectations. The rooms were simple and pleasant. There were plenty of outlets(230v) and it did provide an elevator to the upper floors. The thing that really set it apart was the service we got from the front desk. Being first timers to Barcelona we were unsure what we needed to do to see and experience... More

We booked a room at Hotel Curious based on reviews here. It has a 1 star rating so I was still a bit worried that we made a bad choice. WRONG! The hotel is located right off Las Ramblas, which is right in the center of Tourist Barcelona! Our room was roomy with a french balcony and a/c, which we... More

Over all we had a great stay. Location A+, breakfast A+, staff A++. Our room while very small was clean and comfortable. The only down side was there was a family with small children in the room next door, nothing against kids have plenty of my own, however the soundproofing was not the best could hear everything that was going... Dear Guest, Many thanks for your review! While all our rooms are soundproof, if there are kid next door, sometimes you can hear it (they use to talk very loud). I hope this is a minor thing (as you pointed out) and you come back soon see us! On behalf of all staff at Hotel Curious, thank you for choosing... More

We were in Barcelona for two days pre-cruise. The room was a tad spartan with no dresser, plastic side chair, and a small wall-mounted TV. But there was a fold-down table for luggage and good sized-shelf. Otherwise clean, functional, a comfortable bed, good bathroom, and even a small balcony. Excellent full breakfast. Exceptional front desk staff - all friendly, helpful... More

We stayed here for 3 nights after a 13 day cruise and what a great location. They all spoke perfect English with... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
