We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. It was spotlessly clean, simple, modern facilities. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The position was excellent for exploring the city and the area felt safe and was quiet at night.

In a city where there are so many accomodation possibilities why choose Hotel Curious? That is the question the following comments attempt to answer. This was my 9th visit to the city and my 9th different hotel so if I visited again would I break the pattern and stay somewhere for a 2nd time? It is to Hotel Curious's credit... More

This very reasonably priced hotel was worth every penny. The location was excellent - close to Metro, city centre bars, restaurants and the market. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was immaculately clean and the wifi was excellent, Breakfast was very good. A good selection and nice and fresh. Taxi fare from airport about 30 euros but then... More

I have just arrived back in Birmingham and felt I needed to immediately comment on trip advisor about this hotel. I booked Hotel Curious based on trip advisor reviews, but was very concerned to see it was a 1 star rated hotel after I had booked. However, I definitely had no reason to be concerned it is a great hotel,... More

Breakfast had all you needed and as much as you wanted. The staff were all friendly and helpful. One tip, take your own shampoo, the stuff supplied is horrible! I... More

We have just returned from a wonderful trip to BArcelona for my husbands 30th birthday. I was so glad I had chosen Hotel Curious after reading good reviews. The hotel location was certainly its most attractive feature as less than 2 minute walk from Las Ramblas...the staff were absolutely fantastic so friendly, helpful and thoughtful - they had left chocolates... My friend and i have just returned from a 3 night break at the Hotel Curious. We were welcomed with a big smile from Mateo and lots of help and advise. Location was perfect, rooms were very clean and a good selection for breakfast. A small hotel with a big heart.

For a one star hotel you receive a five star reception. The rooms are small and you can hear noise from other guests, if... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
