Situated near the top of Las Ramblas, we weren't actually sure if we'd actually found the hotel at first, and rather cautiously entered the dark entrance, with huge drapes only to find the elevator. On the 1st floor is the reception, and to the right, the breakfast restaurant - both clean, bright and what one would expect. Our room overlooked... More

Our stay started out well, location was great even if the entrance was hard to find. When we arrived and tried to open our balcony doors we couldn't open them they were sealed shut, not allowing us any way to get air flow in the room at all. Now this wasn't a huge issue since we had assumed it was... More

My sister and I recently spent the night in one of the suites - an absolutely stunning room, with gorgeous sun terrace and massive bath. The bed afforded us a restful nights sleep. The staff were polite and helpful and may our stay very enjoyable. There was a great selection for the continental breakfast, including a variety of grilled items.... More

I am currently staying in this hotel, very very tired and irritable after the forth day of rude awakenings by the sound of a pneumatic drill that starts at around 7 am every single morning at the base of this hotel - do not stay in this hotel of u wish to explore barcelona feeling relaxed and well rested. I... More

NOT EVEN CLOSE TO A FIVE STAR HOTEL. More like a three star. This hotel is incredibly overpriced (and that's with the Hotwire discount). Definitely would not stay here again. There is no lobby (just a creepy entrance with black curtains and an elevator) - the front desk is one floor up, which makes checking in a bit cumbersome. The... More

I forgot a jacket in the closet as I left the room. I came back 3 hours later to pick it up, but they said they hadn't found anything. They didn't apologize, they said they couldn't check if I was saying true (can you say that!!!) they didn't even accept to receive a written complaint. they didn't even have an... More

Hotel is in a great location for all of Barcelona and close enough to walk to all the major attractions, it's also on the Metro and Renfe train line. It's clean and the staff were professional and helpful, we had breakfast included as part of our deal but I wouldn't pay €15 for it if you are on a room... More

I recently spent 4 nights in this lovely hotel. The location was wonderful, a perfect situation for visiting all that Barcelona has to offer. Lovely street cafes, excellent restaurants and shops all within in a few minutes walk. Very close to Gaudi's Casa Batllo. The Metro and bus stops close by made it easy to get to all the other... Have checked in for 2 nights on a business trip to Barcelona. The hotel is very centrally located , very convenient if you want to be close to the attractions of the city . Concerning the hotel : 1) certainly not 5 star ! Don't know how they have been evaluated as a 5 star but they are not. Very... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
