We stayed at this hotel for a 4 night city break in Barcelona. Everything at the hotel is fine, but there is no spark, charm or sense of luxury that you would find at any other 5 star hotel. The entrance hall and general exterior is pretty horrendous, with a hell like red entrance, broken electrical sockets hanging off the... More

When we checked in, we get a free upgrade for our stay. Service was amazing and the room was very good. For a five star hotel it is nothing special, but the price was very good. The location is so good.

I travel to Barcelona at least once a year and have been staying at this hotel for over 5 years since the location cannot be beat. It is located right in the center of Passeig de Gracia - accross the Mandarin Hotel. I normally book the bigger room. During my recent visit, I was surprised to find the reception had... More

Perfect hotel on a perfect location. The staff were all very nice. Came into a very nice room, wonderful bed, tasty breakfast. What more should there be to ask for? Definetely next time in BCN I will stay here again!

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the hotel. Besides the brilliant location - right at a metro station as well as being in the best part of the city- and the outstanding staff - who spend their time at the receiving end of the guest's wrath, there is nothing 5 star about this hotel. I have never stayed... More

A good place to stay. the room we received was small but completely all we needed. We are happpy, it was... More

Situated near the top of Las Ramblas, we weren't actually sure if we'd actually found the hotel at first, and rather cautiously entered the dark entrance, with huge drapes only to find the elevator. On the 1st floor is the reception, and to the right, the breakfast restaurant - both clean, bright and what one would expect. Our room overlooked... More

Our stay started out well, location was great even if the entrance was hard to find. When we arrived and tried to open our balcony doors we couldn't open them they were sealed shut, not allowing us any way to get air flow in the room at all. Now this wasn't a huge issue since we had assumed it was... More

My sister and I recently spent the night in one of the suites - an absolutely stunning room, with gorgeous sun terrace and massive bath. The bed afforded us a restful nights sleep. The staff were polite and helpful and may our stay very enjoyable. There was a great selection for the continental breakfast, including a variety of grilled items.... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
