Excellent classic Spanish hotel less than 30m from the Plaza Mayor. It was 35C when we were there, though the air-conditioning was quiet and efficient, and we had a second floor room with a French window and balcony. more

We stayed 1 night here last week on our way home from Portugal. We had booked it on the strengths of the reviews here and I must say it was really lovely! Excellent value .. we paid about 72 euros including a fab breakfast, car parking and all the taxes. Vallodolid is a wonderful city, so many tapas bars! It... more

Great value hotel located in the best area possible for sightseeing . Initial impressions are that it is old fashioned and dated but the room had been recently furnished and decorated and was better than many we have stayed in. The bathroom was very large and spotlessly clean. The location and service made up for the lack of modern decor. The... more

This hotel is super. Its is a lovely location. The hotel manager is very welcoming and is quick to recommend sites to visit and places to eat. However stray no further than the hotel restaurant. For 16 Euros the Menu del Dio offers an enormous choice of a 3 course meal with bread and wine/or water. The Hatillo del Pergrino... more

Stayed 1 night prior to returning home. The hotel is very pleasant with a superb location 50 metres from the Plaza Mayor. Breakfast was included in the room rate and free internet access was available in the lobby. For local atmosphere eating try the Vinotinto just round the corner from the hotel which has both a Tapas Bar and restaurant.... more

Having read the many positive reviews of the Imperial on this site, we booked two nights (Fri/Sat). We were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the famous Roberto whose excellent English and knowledge of the city, its tapas bars, restaurants and historical buildings was invaluable to the first time visitor. We paid 135 euros excluding breakfast. The... more

Based on the reviews on this site, we booked this hotel. The reviews are very accurate. It is a great location, just off the Plaza Mayor. Valladolid is a fun city to be in - very un-touristy, and the Spanish know how to enjoy themselves. We were a bit disappointed with the hotel itself in terms of service - no... more

Hotel imperial is perfectly situated for any tourist. Just off the plaza mayor, with restaurants, churches and shops all just afew steps away. Our room, although small, was clean and comfortable. However, the most impressive aspect of this hotel, was the friendly service of the staff. Every member, from the manager to the bell boys, were more than willing to... more

Well located, well-run, comfortable; an excellent choice. We asked for a quiet room and got one looking onto a light well, which meant that the room was rather dark and had no view.. However it was certainly quiet and was very spacious. A lively atmosphere, and well used by local residents. We had a good meal in the hotel restaurant more
