Stopped here by chance on the way back from Portugal, the outside of the building does nothing for what is inside on an ordinary street 5 minutes from the main autoroute. The interior decoration of this old cloth mill is stunning and it matches the faultless service, I arrived late and decided to eat in the bar the food was... More

This hotel was recently renovated and the bathrooms are very nice and modern. I like that they maintained some of the old charm by keeping the bedroom decor minimal. That said, it is incredibly dark in the rooms. I took the lampshades off all the lamps and I still couldn't see well enough inside the armoire to pick out an... More

Our GPS could not give us the correct side of the street. It kept telling us that the hotel was on the left side! After three tries, we accidentally turned our head right and there it was! This is a busy street and you can't do a U-Turn. Reception desk was very nice and people were able to speak English.... More

Basing ourselves in Valladolid on a short wine trip we chose this property based on location and cost. It has 29 all different rooms of various shapes and sizes each with individual touches. Our room was on the top floor with a small side window and a single dormer window in a sloping roof with a wood finish. Decor was... More

Stay here because there are very few hotels like this one. This boutique-style hotel is a theme hotel-and its theme is 18th century Spain. Each room celebrates a personage from that century and its decor reflects 18th century style (think powdered wigs and Louis IV!). This hotel will appeal to educated and refined travelers who might enjoy its elegant touches... More

very nice hotel rooms (large rooms, nice bath and toilets), good location, but not really worth 5 stars (no pool, very small bar, no wellness). The concierges are very gentle and helpful, the prices are very nice.

This is an excellent five star hotel, built on the remains of a flour mill over a water channel. It is at the city entrance, about 20 min walk from the center. Excellent rooms, well furnished and a very good bathroom. Free wifi and free open parking nearby. We arrived very late and they arranged an excellent cold lunch (cheeses... More

Another road trip waypoint: lovely looking, quirky if slightly compact hotel. Small, expensive restaurant (I had a Sunday lunch at 70 Euros for one - more expensive then the accommodation!) completely alone in the dining room (maybe it's me??). The room was very comfortable and clean with wifi and excellent sound-proofing; breakfast was good and plentiful (10 Euros) but there... More

This hotel is classically decorated and situated on a river, in a beautiful city. The rooms were clean, and the bed was comfortable. Water pressure in the showers can be intense, though. This hotel is within walkable distance of the Plaza Mayor (10 minute walk), but the route there is scenic by the riverside. You can stop by the local... More

This former Flour Mill is a site to see in itself. The original workings are available to see unaccompanied and are really interesting. The decor is outstanding, we were on the Renoir Floor, with his paintings everywhere, and period decoration. The staff are amongst the most friendly & professional that we have met, they are a true asset of the... More
