My husband and I only stayed for 1 night on route to Salamanca in July. I booked it direct with the hotel and requested a quiet room, we stayed in 231, which although near stairs was really quiet. We had two windows overlooking a garden and the slope up to the car park, with wonderful window seats. The room was... More

This hotel is lovely. The room was on the small side, but so nice and cosy and clean. It is a converted monastery and they preserved many of the old details of the building, also in the rooms. The parking area is large and there was enough room to park. Breakfast was simple but alright. You can walk to the... More

Great location at the start of the Aqueduct. Easy parking. Friendly staff both on the front desk and in the restaurant. Rooms were spotless and nicely presented excellent value for money. Good breakfast included. Lovely old building

Location of the hotel is excellent, it is almost on the very start of the amazing aqueduct, so just follow into town, a short walk although up hill on the return journey. Booking early on the net this was excellent value at €194 including free wifi, breakfast and parking. The parking is off road and if you are lucky you... More

Lovely converted monastery an easy walk from the centre of Segovia following the amazing aqueduct. Beds were comfortable with good quality sheets, bathroom was well equipped, but in need of some renovation. Breakfast was included in the price, a good choice but the only criticism we had was that the waiter should have taken away the dirty plates once they... More

This hotel is built with a traditional inner patio and fountain. It is not covered with a glass roof so can be a little cold to sit in of an morning or evening. The room was comfortable and spacious and the breakfast in the morning was excellent with plenty of choices. The hotel is situated opposite the beginning of the... More

We stayed for one night on a short tour in the area. The hotel was ideally located for driving - just off the main road into the city and we avoided having to drive into the historic centre. It was a short and straightforward walk alongside the aqueduct into the centre. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was... More

I have previously reviewed the Hotel Berne, in Manteigas, Serra da Estreia, Portugal, which my wife and I atay at on average two occasions a year when we drive to our holiday home in the Algarve. The Berne gets better if anything, with recent updates to the bedrooms and bathrooms, and in winter a large log fire to wellcome you.... More

My GPS led me to the metal gate (due to it being late) and I couldn't believe there was actually a hotel there. There was little evidence of it being a hotel. But once I pushed the button provided at the gate the hotel desk staff promptly spoke and opened the gate. She called me by name because I had... More

The only positive things are the staff friendliness and the free parking. Our room was extremely small, poor design, view on kitchen air conditioning. Poor sound proof (could hear people in next room). Hotel is located 20min walk to Plaza Mayor (not 15min as staff may tell you: we are sporty good walkers), though the walk is nice as you... More
