My wife and I stayed at this Parador for 7 nights with our 3 year old son. Although my wife and I have stayed in many Paradors this was the first time we had stayed at one since our son was born. We were given a spacious room with plenty of space for our son’s bed. We had a little... More

We stayed two nights here at the start of our holiday and got thoroughly relaxed which was the plan. My mobility is bad and I was hoping to use my scooter around the building so was really pleased that I could – a member of staff explained where to park around the back and met us there and showed us... This new Parador of La Granja is an example of the rich architectural legacy on the Royal site of La Granja de San Ildefonso. There are two buildings on the same site. The first one is where the hotel accommodation is situated (the original Casa de los Infantes) which was constructed in the 18th century. The Parador is in a... More

We travelled to Granja to attend a concert in the summer festival, and arrived at this parador by mistake - having reserved rooms in nearby Segovia. The check-in staff could not have been more helpful, they changed the booking immediately without fuss or penalty. I have no idea what we missed in Segovia, but I can't imagine a better experience.... More

So nice. An amazingly restored government building with beautiful rooms, and fancy restaurant with great service. Nestled in a beautiful little town with an incredible glass factory museum adjacent to the hotel. AND a Spanish palace across the street with a very special fountain exhibition (which was yet another nice surprise). Pros: get the half board option for great breakfast... More

Our first stop in Spain, this summer, was at the fabulous parador in La Granja. Our room was enormous with an actual anteroom! Typical of the Paradors, a gorgeous marble-lined bathroom with all the comforts. They changed, for the better, the soaps and shampoos, which are a delight. Breakfasts were chock-a-block with all the typical delicious products of Spain: all... More

Friendly and efficicient reception. Drop off short term parking outside door. Free parking for hotel 100mts away. Rooms decent size. Had view away from road which was quiet. Dissapointed that the pool was not open - why do these places insist on not opening the pool until mid June! At least here the sunbeds were out with cushions, so you... More

I stayed here last week for a business forum and was not disappointed. We travelled from Madrid in two coaches and arrived early evening, we were quickly allocated rooms, mine was on the 1st floor although it was road level, the wooden shutters ensured any road noise was blocked out. The room was extremely big, not as modern as expected... More

In mid-April, 2014, The LaGranja parador VERY POORLY communicated with us concerning a critical matter (instructions on where to park our rental car, since it has no parking (!)), which resulted in our car being impounded overnight by the local police, with our phones, cameras, critical medication, etc. in the car. The hotel was COMPLETELY IRRESPONSIBLE in its POOR service... More

We stayed four nights here, using this parador as a base to see Segovia, Avila, and the Palace in La Granja. It's a lovely parador, completely remodeled inside a historic building. It is a pricier alternative, but it has the wonderful Parador facilities and service.
