This is our go to hotel in Segovia. Just outside of the main town area and typically with on street day-time parking parking available on the small plaza outside the front door. Great tapas in the bar and quiet very clean rooms. Check out the storks on the roof of the church across the plaza.

Noisy talking and laughter into the wee hours of the night despite my heavy banging on the wall To No Avail- wasn't the only unhappy guest --- Go Sleep elsewhere - this Host obviously couldn't care about their customers' need for a peaceful nights' rest!!! Spent two restful nights here. We asked for a quiet room and were given room no. 23 on the second floor right at the end of the corridor and the other end to the bar downstairs. I had a single room at the Hospedaje Bar El Gato. It was a very good size. The bathroom was well-appointed and spacious. You can request a balcony but I wouldn't if noise is a factor. There is a bar under the hotel. I had an interior room so I didn't hear a peep. The bed was nice and comfy.... More

For a one-star, economical hotel, Hospedaje El Gato is a surprise. It is in a really terrific location, within easy walking distance of the city center, and it is incredibly, clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Had a lovely double room here, which had a balcony looking out onto the square (and the Storks nesting on top of the church opposite!) This place is incredibly difficult to find. Locals we asked said you can walk but it is very difficult to drive there. It took us 30 minutes and driving the wrong way up a street to get there.There is no lift and when you have to carry suitcases up to the third floor with a bad back and no help... More

This is a unique experience: a great little hotel situated over a totally buzzing Spanish bar. We stayed here for two nights. The guy who checked us in also ran the bar so he was very rushed doing so but, no big deal; he later gave me free ice.
