that hotel is small and so are the room, but it is charming, clean and quite. Its location is great, just very close to the historical center, so you can walk everywhere. we have breakfast there and it was good, the same lady that was at the reception was taking care of us during breakfast.

-tucked away where you would least expect to find a hotel in a very narrow street,we got a lovely welcome, and shown to our room, beamed ceiling and exposed brick walls with lovely curtains and pelmet, bathroom had a spa bath with T lights around it,has a fridge too, and for such a small hotel boasts a beautiful chandelier,a lift, and... My wife and I stayed at Microtel Placentinos for two nights recently. We arrived in Salamanca by train from Madrid, and walked from the train station to the hotel. Having never been in Salamanca previously, we had a slight bit of trouble finding it, but after asking a few key questions of locals, we were successful. For first time visitors,... More

Central location and only a short walk to the car park. The room was small but at the price one has to expect this. The bed was only standard double size but I don't think a larger one would have fitted the room. We loved the traditional décor of the room. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Our room... More

I've stayed at Salamanca's Microtel Placentinos four times, most recently in March 2015, with my husband. A return to Salamanca, where we lived for two years and to which we travel often, is always a profound pleasure; Placentinos is one of the hotels we know well, and the right one for our short winter stay focused on culture, food, and... A friendly greeting in good English at the Placentinos, before climbing the stairs to a small but well appointed bedrooms, with exposed brick wall and good quality furniture. the bed however must be a 1.40 / 4ft6in double - if you are tall or wide, this may not be the hotel for you (We were a group of singles with... A small hotel on a quiet street in the old quarter. Everything you'll want to see and do is within a 5 to 10 minute walk max. The hotel is far enough off that you're not inconvenienced by the noise of the lively young crowd hanging out to very late at night. Service at hotel is minimal and there is... More

Friendly reception, great central location in a quiet pedestrianised street, excellent value for 2 night stay in Salamanca. The rooms are small, as you would expect, but clean and perfectly adequate and breakfast was good in the airy room downstairs. Public parking not far away was not well signposted but we found it in the end. Would certainly stay again.

We must've received one of the leftover rooms, because unfortunately, we had a different experience from many of the reviews here. This was our one-night stopover during our drive from San Sebastian to Porto. Staff were nice enough, the location was quaint, the overall hotel seemed lovely, furnishings were nice, but our room was impossibly small and uncomfortable. There was... More

This small hotel sits on a quiet, narrow street only a few blocks from any of the attractions of Salamanca. Even though we were only a day and a half there (staying 2 nights) we had the feeling of getting to know the town. The breakfast was fine and the facilities were in good condition (except maybe the hotel's credit... More
