After flying into Madrid, we drove to Salamanca and stayed here one night. It was easy to find and the hotel desk clerk and valet man were very friendly. The room was nice and spacious. The hotel location is just a short walk from the Plaza Mayor. We all got a good night's rest after an extremely long flight.

The hotel is just a crossing away to the pedestrian street of Salamanca. First impression is great, however the rooms, whilst very spacious, do not deliver in comfort. Poor maintenance, light globes missing or not working. Furniture and fittings are not up to the standard of the first impression. It was disappointing but we still had a good nights sleep

We stayed in this hotel for one night in a triple share room. Location is good, not too far from the Old Town. One bad thing about this hotel was the food. The buffet dinner on offer was awful. The room itself was of a good size, with two twin beds and a sofa bed. The bathroom was also a... More

After a week of staying in very average hotels in Spain this hotel was very nice. We had a good room with a good view of the park and very close to the old city. The bathroom was clean and everything worked well except the shower which had very poor water pressure. But by then we were willing to take... More

I stayed in this hotel with my parents in April. My first impression was that staff wasn't friendly or helpful. Hotel has a very old decoration, room are small, but I have to mention that I really liked the bathroom in my room. To eat or drink at this hotel is pretty expensive but I also have to say that... This hotel seems to be taking advantage of its unique position with lack of competition. Two people really need a pillow each. Not one long one. The buffet dinner was poor and badly organised. Breakfast was chaotic to put it mildly. Several tours at once but other hotels can handle that.

We were booked into the Alameda Palace by our tour company. The room was spartan: absolutely the bare minimum! Staff were brusque but generally did what was required. Dinner was bland/maybe canned, and totally lacking effort - I would have been better fed at a third rate corner store. Breakfast was the same - absolutely no effort to go beyond... More

This hotel was a good average hotel, nothing special. We stayed in room 512, which was a good size as was the bathroom. But another hotel shower that you feel you need a mechanical degree to operate! Some simple instructions would not go amiss and not just in this hotel. If you cannot speak Spanish don't phone reception and my... More

This hotel is in a beautifully maintained old building with an impressive interior, parquet floors and furniture to match the decor. It has character, being a privately owned hotel, rather than part of a chain. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and the location is excellent, only a short stroll to the main square. I would recommend this as... More
