Beautiful hotel that is so well located to enjoy all of Salamanca. Perhaps not really a palace but it certainly feels like one. Our room was so gorgeous and comfortable it was almost hard to leave it. The marble bathroom was very well equipped. Clean! Clean! Clean!

This is a difficult hotel to rate. On the one hand, the location is excellent - within walking distance to the main square and Salamanca's two cathedrals. The exterior is made of sandstone and is quite beautiful. The lobby is clean and spacious and contains several nice chandeliers. The rooms are of average size but clean. Now the negatives: the... Hotel Alameda Palace in the centre of Salamanca old town, it is a perfect location to take an overnight break when travelling to or from south of Spain or Portugal when bound for the Ferry port at Santander. The quality of décor and friendly service is outstanding. The rooms are very well appointed with marble floored and tiled on-suite bathrooms,... More

We arrived late in the day and was really excited how centrally located we were , so immediately headed to town and the Plaza Mayor. Once back at hotel where dinner was be hosted . Nothing fancy canned fruits ,frozen veggies but the salad bar was fairly fresh ingredients ! Glass of wine was only 3euros. The room was very... More

We stayed here for two nights and was fortunate to be upgraded to a suite. It was spacious, comfortable and had a separate living area from the bedroom/bathroom. The decor was old world charm, full of mirrors and comfortable furnishings. The bathroom was bigger than most hotel bedrooms and was tiled in black with mirrors adorning the walls, separate wash... Excellent location, walking distance to shopping area ,convenience store, cafes, restaurants, old town & Grand Plaza. Breakfast was included in our package. We stayed here as part of a tour, sadly for only one night. The hotel is decorated in the Venetian style, very ornate, glass chandeliers and artwork all over. The room was large, the beds comfortable and new. We were on the 6th floor. We could hear street noise from the festival across the street in the neighborhood park, but... More

As part of a tour we were taken here for lunch. It was great. Service and food all top notch and served with flair. A typical Spanish meal with salad, paella, Spanish omelet and a table full of fresh vegetables, great wine, olives and bread. Also a traditional prosciutto ham cutting ceremony. Dessert was a lovely pastry. Then they produced... More

Very mixed feelings about this place which seems to be THE upscale hotel in town (aside from the Parador that stands well outside of the city center). Spent 3 nights there, well enough to write a complete review. Reception: The staff needs to make a HUGE effort when it comes to welcoming guests. Poor English spoken. A shame. Restaurant: Sent... After a good whole day's travelling, one would put one's weary head into any pillow, lie in any bed, be it hard, soft or uncomfortable!! There is a live-up-to-expectations elegance in this hotel, to say the least. The furniture and furnishings in the room is of such superior standard that one would wish to linger. Will come back again.
