The Hotel Gabriel y Galan is excellent value for your money. I stayed there 4 nights and would certainly stay again. The location is convenient and safe, right between the old and new towns, and a short, pleasant walk to the old city centre. There's some noise from traffic, however the rooms have double-glazing and blinds which effectively block out... More

We stayed in a double room that had a small, old and sagging bed. The door was very thin and smaller than the door frame, so you can hear everyone's comings and goings and see the light from the hallway going on and off. You can also hear the water when people from other rooms use he washrooms. On the... More

This was the only cheap hotel left for me and my friend in Salamanca and I was worried because it is only one star but it turned out to be great, very clean really nice bathroom, good location and really friendly staff. Plus it was nice and warm not like other cheap hotels I've stayed in. I was really pleasantly... More

Excellent priced hotel. I stayed one night and Salamanca makes an excellent 1.5-2 day trip from Madrid. The hotel is further out from the center of it all, and you will have to walk....but I think that is better to get to know the city and see the people. There is an interesting old library just outside the hotel and... More

It's fun reading these reviews as this hotel which was a hostal in 1974-1975 was a fantastic residence for my roommate and me while we were students at the University. The room was wonderful although the bathrooms and showers were shared at the end of the hall. I look forward to visiting Spain (hopefully in not too long) and spending... More

I stayed for only one day in Salamanca while travelling through Spain, and this place was a great choice. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and really wanted me to feel like at home. The place was nice and clean, and even though the room was not very big, it was comfortable and quiet. It's located less than 10... More

We were passing through Salamanca. With two teenagers, we needed two rooms for the night and wanted to stay near the Plaza Mayor so we could enjoy the paseo. But we didn't want to spend the big bucks for two rooms in a hotel. Hotel G&G offered the perfect answer. For 40 Euros per room, we got two very comfortable... More

The owner could not have been more friendly and helpful. We, my wife and I, spent two nights on our way back to Madrid. Clean, comfortable, wifi free, good recommendations for restaurants, and a very easy walking distance to all the local sights. And at 40 euros/night a great budget stop over.

We arrived by bike having cycled 79 very hilly km from Bejar. Found hotel on tripadvisor while sat in bar. Arrived and person behind desk extremely helpful, quoted same price as on internet. This is the first time anywhere, and I do a lot of cycle touring, that the person behind the desk has actually helped us carry our bags... More
