I had an extra night in Salamanca after spending a week in another hotel in the heart of the town, and passed it here with a friend. Although one of the few modern Parador hotels, this works as it gives a feeling of being designed to counter and complement the ancient town that it opposes. The modern exterior seems a... More

Certainly not a historic or old but beautifully renovated building, but more a good clean and functional hotel. We drove into Salamanca so again we're looking for some easy access with the car, parking and also easy access to get into the old town. This place offers all that. It is just across the river and an easy 10 minute... More

The view on Salamanca from the hotel is the hotel's biggest asset. In addition to the view the hotel has the good solid Parador quality. Wifi was good. Service was ok. The gym is old and small so forget about using the gym. The café is a bit of a disappointment as it lack a nice atmosphere. There is not... More

Very professional service. Good mattress, free parking, wifi worked, good night’s sleep, quiet hotel, extraordinary view of the lit cathedral (cost us 15 Euros extra but hey you would pay 8 Euros to get into an attraction anyway). Downstair’s cafeteria is also ok if you could not make breakfast (3.75 Euros for two cafes con leche). You can walk down... More

It's difficult to find a flaw on this modern Parador: large rooms, high quality furniture and services. Their breakfast buffet can be enjoyed along with a great view of the Cathedrals and close by buildings. One might complain of the price for the buffet, but it's worth it! The view from the hotel makes up for the 20 minutes walk... More

This is a bargain for the 75 Euros we paid. Well, 85 with a fabulous view over the city. The only thing missing was a balcony. The only drawbacks are: you pretty much need a car, and, the food is expensive. There are however several restaurants across the street. Great outdoor pool.

We only stayed one night at the Parador, a stop in our way to Galicia. The room was very nice and roomy. The walked to the center of Salamanca is only 15 minutes and if you don't fill comfortable walking back in the dark, go around to the street side to the front entrance of the hotel. Is only a... We stayed 3 nights in the Parador. We payed 75 euros/ night. The room was comfortable and cosy. The beds were really good! Very nice bathroom. Sadly we had a room at the back. No view at all! We walked into town (about 15 minutes) via the Roman Bridge. This is a very nice walk (though some parts steep). We took... More

Started my two week vacation in Spain and Portugal by spending two nights here. Room was spacious and the view of the Cathedral was great. A short 15 minute walk across the river put you at the Plaza Mejor. The only complaint was the restaurant. Breakfast was served from 7-10, we showed up at 9:30 only to find the buffet... More

We stayed here for two nights during a four week driving trip around spain. The hotel was very easy to find with plenty of free parking. We had a penthouse suite room 601. Note the lift only goes as far as the 5th floor - walk upto private lobby to the suite.. The bedroom has a huge circular window which... More
