The location is fantastic, close to good restaurants and sights. On arrival, we were greeted by the friendliest and most enthusiastic person who proceeded to give us a great run down on restaurants, bars etc. which was great as we only had two days to explore. The room was very comfortable and clean. A great budget option.

This hotel is located directly next to the Plaza Mayor in a little alley across from a delicious seafood restaurant. The reception workers are all very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nothing special but they are clean and have everything you need. For the price you pay, you can't expect luxury. I would definitely stay here again just because... More

The best and worst feature of this hotel is the location. Best because it's only a very brief walk from the main square, and worst because it's inaccessible by car (and possibly difficult to find). The car part is solved once you get directions to a nearby underground parking station (about 12 euros/day). Keep in mind that this is still... More

I was delighted with the price of this hotel, its location and the wonderful service. I did find two significant problems though: the room smelled terribly of cigarette smoke and there was a dog in the hotel barking. I couldn't fault the staff and their willingness to help.

We booked a two bed apartment for a five night stay in April and were very pleased with our stay. The locations is great very close to the Plaza Mayor and all Salamanca tourist attractions are in walking distance. The apartment was very clean and spacious. The reception service excellent. This is a traditional spanish property, with narrow stairwells, and... More

We spent three nights at El Toboso in September 2012. The hotel has character...and I mean this in a good sense. The room we had was clean and the bathroom spacious. Our friends also stayed in the adjoining room with their 6 month old and had a larger room with a foyer. Walls were a bit thin but we were... More

This is the second time that my wife and I have stayed at the Toboso and, once again, it was a great experience. We stayed in one of the 3-person apartments for 5 weeks. The hotel is about a block from the Plaza Mayor and just across the street from the central market. We did most of our food shopping... More

It's not exactly a Hilton, but it's very well-maintained and impeccably clean. Staff was always very friendly and helpful. And location is hard to beat -- central and very quiet at the same time. Remember to take a detailed map with tiny streets and passages marked, because Initially I had some difficulty with finding the hotel (although it's just by... More

I spent three weeks here a number of summers ago (prices were still in pesetas... I selected July 2011 because otherwise the website wouldn't have let me add my opinion), and I have always told myself that if and when I came back, I would come here. The location is stellar, and the room was fine. The proprietors were friendly,... More

I stayed at Hotel El Toboso for four nights in May 2011 and I would definitely stay there again. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and made my colleague and me feel very welcome right from the start. We had booked two single rooms and they gave us two rooms sharing a small balcony, which we felt was a... More
