We read reviews on TA and selected the Rector hotel never having stayed in Salamanca before. The hotel was very easy to find and the staff were simply excellent in every way. The rooms are pleasant and the beds are divine, bathrooms well equipped with a lovely bath and great shower. Extra luxury items such as Bulgari soaps etc, a... More

We were booked into this gorgeous boutique hotel rated 4* but after staying and enjoying this wonderful hotel, we would rate it as a 6* hotel. Hotel Rector is situated just beneath the walls of historic Salamanca, an easy walk into the wonderful old University town and magnificent old quarter. Most of the beautiful historic buildings are build of sandstone... More

Hotel Rector was a fantastic hotel. Rooms were large and spotless. Staff were very helpful even greeting everyone by name. All major sights were within walking distance. A computer was available in the lobby and breakfast was served in a lovely room just off the lobby. Highly recommend.

It took us ages to find it. But when you know, it's obvious. Private parking swung it for us. Welcome was very warm but not effusive. Room was clean and had everything but lacked charm perhaps. View from window over modern side street but good double glazing plus shutters meant very peaceful night. Aircon a bit variable. Took a while... More

We stayed here on an overnight on our way from Malaga to Barcelona, the staff are so attentive, the hotel is a small hotel but it is magnificent, bedrooms were really beautiful with extremely comfortable beds. The breakfast was just divine, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this hotel, you have to try it out. It also is... More

Fantastic stay service and location. Just outside the city walls it is easy to get to via car and the staff deliver first class service. If you want to be out of it but in it this hotel delivers being only a short walk. The university town is wonderful and is easily one of Spain’s most sophisticated and stylish. The... More

I have been staying at the Hotel Rector on and off for several years now, and when travelling through this this area of Spain I simply wouldn't stay elsewhere. It is of course luxurious, and the bedrooms, bathrooms and breakfast are about as perfect as you are likely to find. But what sets this establishment apart is their approach to... More

At first sight the hotel might be a bit difficult to find as they have no flags, just a small sign but once found, the door opens and one welcomes you like the have a new permanent resident. Just splendid how they try to take care of you! As I was forced to leave for 1 night (family matter) and... More

We spent a night here on our way to Cordoba, we found the hotel on a Rough Guides listing and were not expecting much given the 'cheap' price we were quoted. How wrong we were!! The boutique hotel is everything that a boutique hotel should be: Charming, discreet, fanatical attention to detail, top drawer service, tasteful decor - I could... More
