Spent a 3 nights here 23/24/25 Sep on a Groupon Promotion. A pleasant enough hotel and on edge of historic area of Salamanca - 10 mins walk from main sites. Used the underground car park which was worth the 10 euro a day due to volume of cars and parking problems in the city. Hotel reception was helpful on arrival... More

I stayed two nights in this hotel. It is a typical 3* tourist hotel. If you are part of a group you will receive sub-standard breakfasts (which I witnessed), if you are individuals your breakfast will be a buffet. The bedrooms are of a good size and clean. I don't see the point of a mini-bar as it was locked... More

I really had a bad experience in that hotel, the people in the hotel reception are very unpolite, I could not sleep well, the room was ugly and dark. the hotel is very old. I had a reservation of a room with one matrimonial bed, even though I called and they confirmed it, when I reached the hotel they told... More

We were not permitted to use the restaurant as we were not part of a group. We were directed to the cafeteria which was heaving with football fans watching a Barcelona game. Very, very noisy. Although the staff were very nice we did not get the food we ordered, I.e. Spanish omelette ordered (pointed to on menu), beef & chips... More

We spent 2 nights here. You can tell the hotel is pretty old from the way it is furnished, but its well maintained, room and bathroom are clean and comfortable. Enough space, with a desk, tv, refrigerator and iron type thing. Full bathroom, tub, toilet, sink with counter and bidet (although the toilet and bidet are almost directly across from... More

We stayed here for one night as part of a coach tour to Portugal. Bags were quickly delivered to the room. A set meal was provided which was very tasty. Local people were eating there so it must have been ok. Our room was quiet and comfortable with shutters that allowed complete blackness. The hotel is very well located to... More

The hotel is centrally located, less than ten minutes walk to the City centre, plaza mayor, which must be visited after dark when the lights are lit and the whole square is illuminated. So beautiful. Vert expensive to drink or eat on the square, though. The entrance and lobby of the hotel is dark and musty, but don't be put off... More

We recently made our 3rd overnight stop at this hotel and we would stay there again. We get underground parking for our motorbike so it doesn't need to stand out in the street. All the rooms we've had have been spacious and the bathrooms are clean and bright. It is within easy walking distance of the Plaza Mayor and all... More

I spent three nights here in July 2011, I had a single room that was of a reasonable size and reasonably furnished, and was thoroughly cleaned every day. The staff were helpful and had excellent English. The hotel does lack "character" but other than that I have no complaints, and wopuld happily stay there again.

Staff were rude, sarcastic and argumentative over a car park issue resulting in cancellation of the reservation. I would not advise anyone to stay here. A day later I arrived in another hotel in another country and were greeted by friendly, helpful staff who could not be more welcoming. This confimed how utterly poor the service in the Castellano was.
