I spent a week in this hotel while on a Spanish course at the very good ISLA. I still can not quite believe how cheap it is given it's position right beside Plaza Mayor. Yes there are compromises when fitting a hotel in to a historic building and area, but it has been done here as best as it would... More

On the plus side, this hotel is centrally located in the old town within walking distance of most attractions and the bedrooms are reasonably clean. The letdown of this hotel are the small rooms, clutter of old computers in the bedrooms, noisy with youngsters running and shouting in the corridors, the reception staff are slow and it feels more like... The hotel is in a great location and the staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I arrived and was given a room with no view and was too hot...I asked the next morning to be moved and they happily accommodated my wishes and needs. The breakfast was good with a great variety of items--meats, cereal, eggs, fruit, and pastries. My... More

Location is brilliant for seeing the city. However the hotel itself isn't great. Their website said that the rooms were air conditioned, not true. We had to open the window and with the noise outside it was impossible to sleep. It was the worst night in a hotel, I didn't sleep at all. The breakfast: the ham and fruit looked... More

I would say it is more a hostel than a hotel, old, noisy, small rooms, shower with not enough pressure. The only pro is its excellent location right on the Plaza Mayor. Note that it is impossible to reach by car, you will need a 300 meters walk from plaza de los bastos (The closer you can get by car)... More

It is a centrally located hotel with small rooms that are sufficent for being there either visiting or for researching. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room overlooked the Plaza Mayor and the view was a joy to behold. Had a small balcony so you can go out to take photographs or just watch the world go by. central location says it all - stayed 4 nights - small room but sufficient, clean, well lit, well appointed, computer with internet in room - pay extra for a room overlooking the plaza mayor, it's worth it - then even when you're back in the room after a day of walking, enjoying a great bottle of inexpensive wine and incredible... In Salamanca, everything radiates out from Plaza Mayor and the Petit Palace is at one corner so you only have to step out the front door to be in the middle of everything.
