We visited Salamanca for one night on our way from Madrid to Porto. Salamanca was a big positive surprise for me. Such a lively and beautiful city. The hotel was great within a couple of minutes walk from the Plaza mayor. Very tasty breakfast and good luxurious rooms.

I was travelling with a friend on two motorcycles, having stayed a few times before, service and quality is still excellent for price, usually best deal can be found on trivago, we only had to pay for one parking space, a lot of hotels insist on paying twice for two motorcycles, excellent location for all attractions.

We tried to get into several well-rated hotels, but availability and price were prohibitive, presumably because the universities were inducting their new intake, and loads of families of students were visiting. We wanted a break in our journey from Santander to Cadiz, and the Palacio de Castellanos was a great find - the room (a Junior Suite) was spacious, clean... More

My husband was occupied during the day at the nearby University and this was a lovely base for me to launch from to enjoy this magical city. The staff were helpful and welcoming and the breakfast would be hard to beat. We stayed three nights and were very comfortable and delighted with our choice.

I spent a long weekend in Salamanca with my family and we chose this hotel because of the location and we were right. It is superb, walking distance from city center and a magnificient view to one of the beautiful squares of Salamanca. However it is not a place for families with little ones. They don't have access if you... More

This hotel is located in the very heart of the historic quarter of Salamanca very close to the main square plaza Mayor. We were fortunate enough to have a lovely room looking out on the San Esteban Dominican Convent. The Cathedral is immediately behind the hotel. Very interesting explore by day and beautifully flood lit by night.

Driving from Roscoff, France to Algarve this was the third stopover night and having had experience with NH Hotels before decided to try this hotel. Bang in the centre of Salamanca this is ideally located for a stopover as lots of 'sights' within very easy walking distance. Salamanca is steeped in history with accordingly beautiful architecture everywhere you look. The... More

Right in the midst of the history and culture of this beautiful medieval university city this hotel offers comfort, service, history and "class". Would we recommend it? We most certainly would! Situated between the Dominican Iglesia de San Esteban and the old and new cathedrals it could not be better located.

Our room was well appointed and nice, but the little balcony had a surprize: a nightime view of the Cathedral that was incredible. The hotel is little hard to find - we were driving, but on foot it is well located to the University and other main attractions. The lobby and the breakfast and the general ambience were all really... More
