Room is big enough and there is a little kitchen (stove and fridge) Nicely renovated and has an elevator. Perfect location. Very clean and quiet, excellent staff. I stayed two nights (it's totally enough time for a small, but charming city of Salamanca. Do not forget to visit Casa Lis beautiful art nuoevou museum, ,very close to Sara.

Sadly, I'd booked another Hostal in Salamanca for the wrong dates. Fortunately, they were able to book us into this one. Since I do lots of research prior to booking an accommodation, I was really uncomfortable about having one pulled "out of the hat" for me. As it turned out, I needn't have worried. Our room was very spacious &... More

A very good hostel one minute away from the Plaza Mayor, Situated in the centre of the old historic area of the city, it is well situated for all the major landmarks and attractions. Has spaces available in a nearby private garage for a fee. Loads of bars, restaurants, and cake/coffee shops within the vicinity. Wifi was excellent and free.... More

Hostal Sara is located in the middle of the old town about half way between Plaza Mayor and the University. The rooms are comfortably large, recently decorated, and spotlessly clean. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We'll certainly stay here again. However, as others have commented, noise can seem to travel within the Hostal - one night we were... More

The hotel is perfectly situated in the center of the city, and the receptionists were really helpful. The room was nice and perfectly clean. On the downsides, our room, situated close to the elevator, was a little noisy. Our only real disappointment was the breakfast. For 5 euros, we only got a coffee, an awful orange juice (the worst I've ever... More

We read the reports on Trip Advisor and booked it Everything reported was true but the hotel was even better than I had hoped for Best value yet on our Spanish road trip, the rooms have everything, Wi-Fi, Air Con, Hair Dryer, Plasma TV, our room (301) even had a bath, better than most of the 4 star hotels we... We got a taxi from the train station. We had been advised not to get off the train at the last station but to get the station before that. The taxi ride was necessary but not too expensive. Hostal Sara is between the Plaza Mayor and the University. ie it was very central for all the main sights. It was... More

Beautiful location for exploring Salamanca, only 200 m from the Plaza Mayor. The pension is situated in a lively street. Rooms in the front can be noisy late at night. The rooms are very well equipped. The family and staff are very friendly and service minded, but they should improve their skills in foreign languages.

A lovely stay, just perfect. Nice, central, comfortable, spotlessly clean hostal. Staff extraordinarily friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money.

We travelled to visit our daughter who is spending a year in the University of Salamanca. This was a great budget option: a room in the centre of town, looking down on the street, (it was not too noisy) beside the House of Shells. Not a hotel as such - no restaurant or bar or sitting area - but lots... More
