The hotel is a medieval building which has been beautiful restored in a picturesque location. What could have been a 3+ star rated review was totally let down by the attitude of the staff. When we arrived it was an inconvenience to get checked in and our key was just chucked at us across the counter with a grunt. Our... More

We stayed here one night on the Camino. It's at the top of the town. The Posada is loaded with character, but a little worn around the edges. Our room was on the 2nd floor, and totally adequate for our needs. The beds were large, comfy & everything was clean. The towels were fluffy & there was a hairdryer in... More

The room was clean but the furnishings were quite worn. We stayed here for a night on the Camino. It worked for the night. As others have mentioned, the reception staff are not the friendliest but were efficient in checking us in. The service in the restaurant was a bit slow but the food was excellent. There wasn't much available... More

Stayed one night while doing Camino. Like others said grumpy man on checkin. Got a front room on second floor. Had dinner there and the choices I made were good. Not a real good sleep as you can hear people talking from rooms above. Girls and cook did a great job. Breakfast a real surprise with cereal, yogurt, plate full of... More

Of all the hotels & guest houses that I've stayed in over the last year doing my Camino trip in parts, this is the only one that I was disappointed with. We had a tough walk in temperatures of high 20's but when we arrived here, the owner just grunted & gave us no information about the dinner or breakfast... More

This was my second visit here 12 months apart. Staff seemed friendlier. Room dated but clean and everything worked well. Great shower especially after a hot day on the Camino. Rooms at the back get better afternoon sun and a nice outlook. But if your Spanish is up to it ask for one of these. Wifi works ok but you... More

The Camino passes right through the town. The stairs are narrow to get to the rooms so very hard to get to whilst carrying all the walking gear and backpacks. The rooms are very very big and spacious but furniture and furnishings are old. Wonderful place to stay with great restaurant. Lovely and attentive staff. Free wifi but signal is... More

We stopped here for one night. The room was spacious and uncluttered (bare), but this is a good thing when you want space to put your back pack down and sort through it. The staff seem to be a family group, 3 generations. The son speaks some English, but the father none. The kids running around were just being kids.... More

The hotel is quite adequate for pilgrims on the Camino. However the in house children are out of control yelling and screaming and jumping over counters, etc. When we called to complain we were hung up on with the words "I Don't understand you. We heard the phone ring two other times before the obnoxious children were quiet. I have... More

I enjoyed my stay here. On the camino, when you enter the main part of town, you'll see a map that charts all the hotels, albergues, monastery, tiendas and farmacia in the village. You'll see that Gaspar is at the very end. Given that the city is small, it's no problem to walk to the other end of town. It... More
