First lets get the bad stuff out of the way. This hotel is a nightmare to find using the address given on the hotel confirmation street. To us Brits it is easier to know it right on Junction 234 on the A1 Madrid Burgos road. The hotel entrance is near a Repsol fuel station. Now the good stuff. What a... More

This hotel, which looks like a medieval tower, is not easy to find! Even with GPS, I missed the immediate R turn off the freeway (if you are at the gas station, you just missed the turn)....and once in the parking lot, it was not easy to know where the entrance to Re emotion is. Though, in truth, it's hard... More

What a gem. Cannot believe how good this place is. Feels like 5• luxury but in a medieval castle setting. Staff could not have been more helpful. Excellent food. Breakfast by the indoor swimming pool this morning (sunny fresh march morning) sitting in our dressing gowns with fresh orange juice amazing English and continental breakfast (the black pudding was incredibly... The Landa is a rather unique hotel, with an old-castle atmosphere, and is worth a detour. We got a room in the tower, which was quite large and very comfortable. Unfortunately, the hotel's location at the corner of several motorways is not so pleasant, and it is several km away from Burgos. Also, we were a bit disappointed by the... More

It is hard to find the appropriate words to describe this hotel: Understated and discrete luxury, classy, elegant, historic, oozing unimposing charm, courteous but better to say this place is enticing in many different ways. This is a real five star, not just a Trip Advisor five star. It is s proper castle not a fake one. In fact nothing... More

We stayed there for one night but we really regretted not staying longer! The hotel is beautiful, and the pool is one of the most original and gorgeous I've seen. The room we got on the ground floor with a small terrace close to the pool was really big and lovely with a very large comfortable bathroom. The service is... More

We stayed at the Landa on our way to Bilbao, our only regret is that we were only there for one night, we wished we could have stayed longer in this superb hotel. It was so peaceful, the setting was majestic, the staff were helpful and friendly and the food excellent. Several small lounges to relax and read. What more... More

My wife and I stopped here after we landed in Madrid, rented a car, and headed to San Sebastian. We did not want to travel the 5 hours all at once, so we decided on the Landa Hotel in Burgos. We visited the town of Burgos the following morning and I am always torn between staying in the city center... More

We stayed here "en route" to Quinta Das Lagrimas in Coimbra, Portugal and were surprised by the quality and style. Great concierge service on par with top hotels in major capitals, fabulous decorum, fabulous suite, tremendously stylish facilities. Restaurant good, but slightly underwhelming compared to the rest. Overall: To be recommended!

The Landa is a fun and fabulous way to get the experience of castle living in a modern age. Rooms are well appointed however the beds are hard and you can feel the springs. The pool is fabulous and the grounds quiet when away from the main road. Easy to get to as it is right (200m) away from the... More
