Great rooms, very professional staff who have been well trained, fun to be in a castle/folly. Everywhere interesting furniture. And then there is a 25 metre outside swimming pool with an extraordinary adjoining inner pool. All seemed to be heated. This is a great way of building up an appetite for the rather expensive but excellent restaurant or the perfectly... More

The Hotel Landa, just outside Burgos, is exceptional. It is a Castle that has been renovated with the best possible taste, combining Gothic architecture with the most modern amenities. Rooms are very spacious and service is incomparable. Breakfast is wonderful and fresh, and the wine list is very good. Very highly recommended as a destination in itself.

Stopped overnight en route to Portugal arriving in time for superb tapas as a late lunch. Fantastic room and superb dinner at night in the restaurant. Overall an excellent experience and would readily use this hotel again. Be very careful though when leaving. The Spanish police wait outside to collect 100 euros from foreign drivers who access the motorway direct... More

Based on the reviews on Trip Advisor, we booked this hotel for a stopover in Burgos on our drive from Santiago de Compostela to Barcelona . We were very happy with the accommodation and services at the hotel. It was a very convenient place to stay while visiting Burgos as we had a rental car. Landa hotel is a relaxing... More

Landa looked great with excellent reviews on TripAdvisor, but what we experienced was very disappointing. The behavior of the young lady at the front desk was at best obnoxious. I had to ask three times to obtain a cork screw and a wine glasses. She argued with me first that I did not need wine glasses and told us to... More

First lets get the bad stuff out of the way. This hotel is a nightmare to find using the address given on the hotel confirmation street. To us Brits it is easier to know it right on Junction 234 on the A1 Madrid Burgos road. The hotel entrance is near a Repsol fuel station. Now the good stuff. What a... More

This hotel, which looks like a medieval tower, is not easy to find! Even with GPS, I missed the immediate R turn off the freeway (if you are at the gas station, you just missed the turn)....and once in the parking lot, it was not easy to know where the entrance to Re emotion is. Though, in truth, it's hard... More

What a gem. Cannot believe how good this place is. Feels like 5• luxury but in a medieval castle setting. Staff could not have been more helpful. Excellent food. Breakfast by the indoor swimming pool this morning (sunny fresh march morning) sitting in our dressing gowns with fresh orange juice amazing English and continental breakfast (the black pudding was incredibly... The Landa is a rather unique hotel, with an old-castle atmosphere, and is worth a detour. We got a room in the tower, which was quite large and very comfortable. Unfortunately, the hotel's location at the corner of several motorways is not so pleasant, and it is several km away from Burgos. Also, we were a bit disappointed by the... More

It is hard to find the appropriate words to describe this hotel: Understated and discrete luxury, classy, elegant, historic, oozing unimposing charm, courteous but better to say this place is enticing in many different ways. This is a real five star, not just a Trip Advisor five star. It is s proper castle not a fake one. In fact nothing... More
