A boutique hotel in a great location just an escalator ride from up to the old town. It is owned and operated by a family who aim to please their guests and couldn't be more helpful. The photo of the room shown on trip advisor is exactly as we found it and although on the small side, it was clean... More

In such difficult times we´re running with the crisis, being qualified as a "good value for money well run hotel with helpful people" is the very best for our motivation. Also I apprecite that you explained with all type of details that it is NOT a luxury hotel and that our rooms are NOT specially big!. In the other hand,... More

Hotel is well positioned in old town easily accessible by car if you have sat nav. It's right next to escalator so getting into old town square is easy. Staff are so helpful with nice little terrace for breakfast and a drink. You can park outside the hotel but need to feed the parking meter. A good tip, though, is... More

Thank you. It is superb to hear from you "IT IS NOT LUXURIOUS" because it is the truth. Our best advantages, as you said, are the fantastic ubication, the scalators 50 meters up and the car parking facilities in the surroundings. Happy, really happy to hear again our staff did their best to help. That´s the best someone could say... More

This hotel does have a good story (run by a group of previously unemployed people) and is in a good location, but the photos make it look way better than it is. The hotel is very dark; the rooms very small and everything in the hotel needs updating.

We appreciate your comments that will help in futuro, although I have to say this is the first time someone writes that the hotel needs an update... above all taking in mind that we do not stop updating it... In the last months we updated our WiFi, which now offers clients a great coverage, we updates many beds, many showers,... More

I think the Hotel Medina is owned on a cooperative basis by a group of friends. And it certainly has a friendly feel and a warm welcome. It's comfortable but not luxurious but is definitely a budget price - E 89 for two nights (without breakfast) the rooms are on the smaller side but comfortable and clean, a good base... More

Thank you for the review. It describes perfectly the hotel... a humble one with a great ubication & good parking facilities in the surroundings. That is true that we are a group of 8 previosly unemployed people that decided to join efforts to run the hotel and safeguard our own employments. Happy, smiling greeting from all of us!!! More

This hotel is in an excellent location, at the northern edge of the old town, within walking distance from the main historical attractions, at the same time close to the main access roads and bridges. Furthermore, it is off the cliffs a bit lower than the old town street level, therefore off from all the noises that could come from... More

Thank you very much indeed for your review!. I think you described the hotel exactly as it is.... a humble one with happy staff and strategic location. Lemme give you further statistics about safety in Toledo... a car robbery every 300 days and a murder every two or three centuries!!!. Room was cozy and comfortable with clean and comfortable bed. Bathroom was fine but the shower area was a bit small. Wifi works perfectly. The highlight is the perfect location - very near to the escalator. Breakfast was simple but delicious and the best coffee we had in Spain so far! The people are helpful. Definitely will stay here again... More

From the toledo renfe station, we took a 6Euro taxi trip direct to the hotel, although you walk there if you're confident of the direction. One trick is to follow the purple 'escalator' symbol which is painted from the renfe station right to the magical escalator which takes you up to the old town. This hotel is halfway up the... More
