Have stayed here on three occasions while visiting Toledo and it has maintained a wonderful place in our heart over the years. From the moment you enter the garden through the private gate in the city wall, you enter a magical oasis from the busy, touristy city and re enveloped by the peace and beauty. The staff are welcoming and... More

We stayed three nights. This is a lovely vacation stop. The characterful building set into the old city walls is complemented by a luscious and very spacious garden and interesting furniture and artwork. Our room was noise-free apart from the sound of birdsong from the garden first thing in the morning. Very good breakfast to set one up for the... More

Stayed one night to visit Toledo, walking. Superb location in style, friendly employees and a good restaurant. The rooms are spaceous, well designed and clean. Also of added value: quiet! This time of the year probably calm, lacking tourist. The restaurant serves good food, the waiters were helpfull, English could be better - as well as my Spanish fo course.

This former Cardinal's summer residence forms part of the historical fortifications of Toledo. The garden and grounds are beautiful and the whole atmosphere at the hotel is very old-style elegant and laid back at the same time. Rooms are big and nice and prices very reasonable. I would come back anytime!

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a pleasant stay. Nice room, good breakfast, friendly staff. Very nice environment! Rooms felt a bit outdated but I guess it belongs to the Cardinal atmosphere... We had a good time all together!

This hotel is very impressive from the outside, it is set behind what looks like old fortress walls. Upon entering there is a very attractive garden - the well manicured type with water feature and old stone steps that lead up to the hotel entrance. There is also a decent bar and the restaurant looked nice although I did not... More

This hotel is located within the walls of the old town. It has old world charm but has all the modern amenities. It has a beautiful inner courtyard where one can enjoy a relaxing drink or meal under the shade of flowering trees whilst listening to the water fountains. We ate at the hotel restaurant which was fairly pricey but... More

My husband, another couple, and I spent a terrific day and night at this stunning, elegant hotel. I think it is the nicest hotel I have ever experienced. The lobby is large and magnificent, with very friendly and competent staff. The central lobby is huge and comfortable with much seating. Right outside it, there is a lovely balcony looking out... Approaching the hotel is a jaw dropping experience. A handsome building in beautiful gardens, set within the city walls and only a stone's throw from the escalator to the historic centre. It's pretty reasonably priced give all of that and the rooms are quite pretty. But they are very small and the bathroom too - a bit of a one... More
