I had stayed at this hotel for a night about 8 years ago. I remembered that, although the staff were less than friendly, the location was great for visiting Toledo's sites, and that the spot was quiet and picturesque. "Was" is the operative word. We arrived on this birthday trip to find most of the old town covered in scaffolding.... more

I chose the hotel because of the traditional-and-modern hint and was not disappointed. The room was very nice, with excellent bathroom, caring for all the necessities, and the receptionist was also very helpful. However, there were some not so pleasant things as well. The first - as usual in Spain - was the noise, both from street and from the... more

In such a compact city as Toledo, we thought this hotel was great. It was easy to access ( as Toledo could be quite challenging if you decide to drive through it) and the best part was that it did had its own parking. It is not a 5 star hotel, however for a 3 -4 star we did not... more

The hotel El pintor El Greco is in the heart of the old part of the city within the ancient walls and walking distance to most of the important sites including museums, churches where El Greco's paintings hang, his home, and the famous Alcazar. Municipal buses take all around if you don't like to walk up-hill much. Restaurants are good... more

Hotel Pintor El Greco is a really old hotel which was something else entirely before they made a hotel out of it. I thought it was interesting, but it was not designed to be a hotel, so expect the same. The location was OK, a little out of the way, but not bad. Would I stay there again? No. Once... more

Assuming you want to tour the old town, this hotel is in a fantastic location and is quite pleasant. It is adjacent to the old synagogues and El Greco museum, and a short walk to the top of the hill for the cathedral and shops. There is a small park just across the street with a view across the river.... more

My wife and I spent three nights at this hotel in April, 2006. The staff was friendly and helpful, they have a parking garage which is a big plus I understand in Toledo as parking on the street is not suggested and difficult, its in a good location within the old city near museums and the temple and has a... more

Desk staff not very friendly - in fact women at the desk gave us wrong info regarding the bus and told us to go to two local restraunts that turned out to be closed that night. Room #10 wassmall and outdated but the worst was the NOISE! Everytime someone flushed the tolet or ran the shower it was like they... more

We were in Toledo for a day trip, but I fell in love with the town and decided to stay. Besides, we were extremely tired and my feet were killing me. I came across this hotel and found the reception area very nice. The front desk guy was very polite and professional. Also, the hotel location appeared to be quiet.... more

After a group traveling three weeks in Spain we went to this hotel with great expectations. It was the most expensive hotel in our trip, but we were looking for location and this hotel is well located. But, the staff was not friendly, the room was in a basement. My room was not noisy but one of the couples traveling... more
