We ended up in Ciudad Real for a night, on our way south, and this hotel was still open. It's actually a shame, that you can only choose between average and very good. This place is just good. Not, very good and closer to average. Room is ok. Very standard. Reception friendly. Breakfast fine. All in all it's a fine... More

We stayed here 3 nights and had a very pleasant stay. It was cheap (about 37 - 45 € per night), very well located in the city center and the breakfast, for about 7 €/ person, was excellent. I recommend it. Our room was kind of small and dark, facing a very small courtyard between the hotel's walls, but it... More

To be fair I suspect the hotel was in their VERY off season and so the restaurant was closed and the air conditioning not working. It was chilly in Ciudad Real that evening (5 degrees C) and so the heating was ON. Our rooms faced a (very) small "courtyard" and so were hard to cool and refresh. It was very... More

The Alfonso x is perfectly situated in the centre of town. We had a very quiet and adequate room which was one above their basic. Although the mattress felt like a board when you sat on it, it was actually very comfortable. The bathroom was clean with a reasonable selection of toiletries should you need them. The breakfast buffet was... More

This is place right in the heart of the city from where you have many possibilities just walking. It has a narrow parking but it is included with your room, so it is very convenient. Very good option for visiting all the interesting villages and nature parks in Ciudad Real as well as for business. The rooms are not very... More

Positives: Big bed Lots of goodies in the room and bathroom Great Location one minute from main square Huge balcony Very clean Either very new or newly rebuilt, Very buzzy town even in October, we went from here to Toledo and found it dead by comparison. 60 Euros good value Negatives: PARKING! You enter a lift that is very narrow... More

It is a really nice hotel and the staff is very, very friendly. You are right next to the market and everything is nearby. The downside to that is, that it often got noisy in the morning. There is wifi that you can use in your room with your own laptop. All the rooms are non-smoking, but they used to... More

Despite its location, right in the centre of town, next to the City Hall, Hotel Silken Alfonso X is well below average from what one would expect. Very poor facilities, worn-out carpets, very poor breakfast service. The only good thing was the friendly lady at Reception. Unfortunately the hotel scene in CIudad Real is quite limited and this is "the"... More

We booked this hotel in our stop in Ciudad Real on a family trip. The location of the hotel is right next to Plaza Mayor but there is no free parking available. The hotel has underground parking for which they charge around 17 Euros which is way to expensive. You have to use a very small car elevator to access... More

Hotel Silken provided a quiet double room and comfortable bed with a decent bathroom which was in very good condition. The hotel itself is in a central location. Was slightly put off by small reception area and trendy and slightly aloof male staff - esp. George Michael double who checked me in. Otherwise all was in order and had a... More
