We agree with all positive recommendations and comments and would really only mention that the hotel's horribly expensive breakfast can be circumvented by using the café located about 20 m to the left of the main entrance. There you can have a quite satisfactory breakfast for 4 - 5 EUR. more

the location was great as a first time visitor as it is very close to the sea front , the train and bus terminal. the room was facing inside and I wondered why the curtains were closed until I opened them and saw that the view was other rooms across a small courtyard. the room was clean and the bed... more

A group of friends visiting the city to watch a football match. We decided to stay for a little longer to explore the city and to enjoy the pre Christmas nightlife The hotel was superbly situated with some cracking little bars and restaurants close by. Only a stroil down to the seafront so anyone who arrived by Ferry from the... more

This hotel scores 100% for location, 100% for quality of room and 100% for value for money. It is so easy to find. Take the bus from the airport - it is non-stop to the bus station ( €1.70), and the journey only takes 10 mins. Immediately you step off the bus, turn right, and go two streets down to... more

This is a smart business style hotel located in the town centre close to the cathedral. We had a double Club room at €80 per night. If you want to be near the main beach you should try elsewhere (Chiqui is right on the beach at the far end of town). Location is not critical as there is a good... more

I stayed at the Silken in September 2008. The hotel was ideally located in the centre of the city and close to bars, restuarants, shops and the sea front. The rooms were large, spotless and very comfortable. Safes were provided in rooms. The bathroom was large and very clean. All sorts of extras were provided including toothbrush, toothpaste, sponge, razor,... more

stayed here for 3 nights. took bus from aerport to bus station which cost €1.70 and then a 5 min walk from bus station to hotel. This hotel was very clean, room was spacious and even though it over looked street, was very quiet. Room was cleaned each day and towels changed. Staff could speak english. Hotel beside shopping, bars... more

Just returned from a 4 night stay in this hotel, everything was excellent except for the reception staff whom where very unhelpful and showed no interest in providing a good service to the customer. more

This hotel is relatively new and the look and feel of the place is nice and fresh. The staff is attentive and polite, the rooms are clean and the bathrooms well equipped with toilettries. The beds are very comfortable and most rooms are pretty quiet. The hotel's location is unbeatable, next to the City Hall, many shops, restaurants, and the... more

Some great things and some awful things about this hotel. Positive things: 1. The bar. Good food, good prices, good staff. 2. The reception. Very helpful. 3. The bed. Huge and so comfortable!! 4. The bathroom, well stocked, spotlessly clean, good size. 5. The room itself, good size, very nice. 6. The location. 10mins walk from anything worth seeing. Negative... more
