We made a long research to find a nice, well located and not to expensive hotel on Teneriffa and finally decided to book a studio with breakfast at the Masaru. It´s located in La Paz above the city centre of El Puerto and you have to descend 231 stairs to get there. Something to keep in mind, but it´s a... More

This hotel is located about 15 min steeply uphill from the main resort centre, close to the botanic gardens (well worth a visit) which makes for peace & quiet, easier parking & better views. There are quite a few restaurants in the area if you don't feel like a stroll down the steps into town (try Oliva opposite the botanic... More

Nice, clean apartments with swimming pool and tennis courts. We had a one-bed apartment, with a sea view. No sun in our apartment during the day, which was a shame, but I'm sure we could have swapped rooms if we'd asked. The poolside apartments have the best views with dramatic Mt Teide, rising up in the distance. It's a 15... More

Mazaru Appartments combines the benefits of a hotel with those of self catering. The good. Location with parking within 50M, restaurants, shops, Jardin Botanico a few minutes walk away, and old town only 15 minutes walk away. Great heated swimming pool about 30M x 18M. Breakfast and chambermaid daily cleaning included in the price. The not so good. Food indifferent.... More

We had a cosy, clean and silent studio on the first floor with the view to the pool. Set of dishes was very poor, no winglass etc. Beds were very comfortable and we had at nights warm enough because we were on the sunny side. Wifi was working well in our room. Pool was warm, I was swimming over 5... More

We stayed six nights in Masaru apartments. Nice and clean apartment in La Paz area. Lot of restaurants and and shops nearby. Quite good "German supermarket" behind the corner. It's better to choose "pool view" apartment, because that site is silent and sunny. 230 steps down to the beach, but the taxi back to the hotel costs ab. 5 €.

Masaru appears to cater mainly for Scandinavian and German tourists, consequently communication in English is difficult and frustrating especially at Reception. The receptionist chewed gum with her mouth open whilst dealing with us; very off-putting. The hotel is clean and well-serviced; breakfast was excellent but the room was sparsely furnished for self-catering; for instance, there was no kettle so we... More

The only good thing about this hotel is the lovely staff in the restaurant.. Most polite and sincere....reception don't want to know if u don't speak Spanish...and... More

The best part of this hotel is the large swimming pool and the garden surrounding it. The hotel apt i just OK, but not up to a 4 star quality as advertised by the travel agency I used. The location was fine for me, since I like walking and don´t mind hills. It is noisy at night, (from the street)... More
