We were self-catering so we did not eat here, however the food looked and smelled fine. The view from our apartment over the mountains was stunning. The apartment was cleaned every day except Sunday, and all the staff we spoke to were very helpful. We had one problem in our apartment, the cooking ring was broken and this was repaired... More

This is a nice hotel friendly and helpful staff but what sadly lets its down is the poor quality of food I.e. overcooked vegetables, fish fingers and nuggets for adults and no conception of vegetarians along with the food temperatures I.e. tepid at best. But the salad bar in there favour was very good. Please dont remove this review as... More

Unfortunately got the basement apartment which is not ideal. Our holiday was very cheap so HEY we don't go on hols to stay in a room so lets not be negative you get what you pay for. Location great lots of local restaurants and the apartment bar and staff very friendly. A great walk down to Town and a good... More

I'm guessing from the other reviews there's a lot of variety in the rooms. Our apartment was on second floor, down from the pool, and was very dated (1970s brown bathroom suite, woodchip walls and louvre windows). It didn't feel very secure, the front door was battered, hard to close and had a very poor lock, and an equally insecure... More

Clean rooms.. Good food (buffet).. Friendly staff.. Close to the center and the beach.. The only bad thing for me is that you can hear almost everything from other rooms. For the price you have to pay for a stay here you cant complain much..

Most of the reception staff were friendly, being a speaker of Spanish, it's easy to converse, one of two weren't so friendly and slightly disinterested! However, the rooms were clean and large and the foyer reception area is lovely! The bar isn't the best, but location is great here! I would visit again!

I stayed here for 1 week, for period 23 September 2014 to 30 Sepetmber 2014, on a leisure holiday. Prior to arriving at the establishment, I did email them directly to ask for a top floor room, at end of corridor, with nice views. The room given, room no. 501, was perfect, with wonderful view to the summit of El... More

These apartments are situated in a residential area away from the hustle and bustle of the main resort. What stands out about these apartments is the cleanliness. The cleaning staff work extremely hard to keep these apartments immaculate. The surrounding gardens are beautiful too. They are however located up a very steep hill, walking into the resort centre takes no... More

Stayed here for 10 days. Apartment itself was clean, with cleaners in every day except Sundays. The area itself is quiet. There are some shops/restaurants 2/3 minute walk away. The Beehive English pub is 3/4 minutes away. Nice bar...and the owner kindly put on the GAA for us when we asked. We had half board in hotel but didn't really... More

We both enjoyed our stay at the Carabela. The apartments suited our needs, the bathroom was a bit dated but functional, we couldn't fault the cleaning as it was done daily with fresh towels apart from Sundays(when the cleaner had a day off). Any issues we had were quickly resolved and the staff were friendly and spoke excellent English. The... More
