After 7 weeks in the Orotova we could not fault it. The Front Desk Staff excellent cleaniness excellent. The Food was almost perfect except whenit came to the sprouts they were a little overdone also the broccoli but other than that we enjoyed the food and plenty to choose from,. The room was cleanliness its self and the beds very... more

This was my first time in Tenerife and this hotel, the Orotava Palace exceeded my expectations, having paid a low rate for a 4 night stay on b and b terms, I wasn't expecting luxury but I was pleasantly surprised. On arrival the reception team were friendly, efficient and fluent in English, the lobby area and bar were clean, welcoming... more

This hotel was truly awfull on arriving we were allocated a room by a not very friendly receptionist. Once unpacked myself and partner lay down on the bed only to find dried in blood or sick on our headboard, I went to reception complained and was given another room that seemed fine. The weather wasnt that warm but on my... more

just returned from a short break at the orotava palace **** but find this rating to be too high to hold credence, much more like a two/three *** as the facilities were not up to scratch, and, the staff were somewhat miserable especially to anyone not spanish. however while staying at this hotel we were introduced to the best chip... more

We stayed for a week. Like other reviewers we were on the seaward side of the hotel and there was significant noise from the Irish Pub and the hotel's own bar. Our first night was Sunday and we thought it might be a 'weekend' thing. After three nights of it we changed rooms to the landward side. This was better... more

Just returned from a 4 night break at the Oratava Palace Hotel which is very pleasant and we had a good room on the 3rd floor with a reasonable sea view. It isn't the quitest of places (but it is in the middle of town) and breakfast whilst pretty good did suffer from being lukewarm at best but overall for... more

Very good food, rooms v.g.; nice and clean. Most staff were O.K., but a few would rather work in a hotel without the inconvenience of hotel guests......The problem with this hotel though was the noise. I can only speak for the side of the hotel that faced the sea, but there was an Irish pub that made an aweful noise... more

If you're a Brit after a pie n' pint holiday in the sun, the Oratava Palace won't be for you. If however like me and my Spanish partner, you want to stay somewhere a bit calmer and well-kept, the Oratava Palace could be a good bet. The hotel is very much geared for mainland Spaniards, which isn't a bad thing... more

We spent a week at the Oratava Palace in January 2005. Knowing it was a 4* hotel we rather looked forward to it, but were a little disappointed. Whilst it has an excellent location, a few minutes from the sea, which one could see from our balcony (and Mount Teide in the other direction), we found some of the main... more
