We have just had a lovely week at the El Tope Hotel. Large room with a fantastic view of the sea and volcano, got used to the cockerel alarm after a couple of nights! Lots of sunbeds and a lovely relaxed feeling all around. If you have chance do a trip up to Mount Teide, was a great day.

Stayed in a lovely room with a large balcony overlooking the pool that had been refurbished nicely. Rest of the hotel in need of some TLC but very comfortable. Food was excellent. Good variety every night including show cooking at breakfast and dinner. Choice of soups, lovely salad bar and good range of meat dishes - fish, chicken, pork even... More

We first stayed at this hotel 30 years ago, we enjoyed our holiday then and thought it was worth a revisit. We were not disappointed, although things have moved on we found the staff were still very friendly and the food good with plenty of choice. The pool seems more organised than we remember with no trouble getting a sunbed.... More

We stayed here half board from 29th July to 5th August. Lovely hotel with fantastic views of the sea and the mountains. The room was spotless and cleaned and beds made every day by lovely friendly maids. The reception and restaurant staff were all really friendly and very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. We asked for extra pillows... More

My husband and I stayed here for a weeks all inclusive holiday in May. The hotel is in a hilly location and walking back up to it after visiting the town was hard on a hot day - however the hotel itself is very quiet, spacious and clean and the food was great. The hotel is in a good location... More

This hotel ensured our stay in Puerto was first class- really one of the best sunshine holidays I've had to date! We arrived late and waiting in our room was a selection of fresh fruit and water. We booked a junior suite- well worth it for the beautiful room and specious balcony. Our balcony had fabulous views overlooking the pool... More

Agreed it's a little dated with a carpet in the bedroom which needed renewing (or replacing with the usual tiled flooring) & the bathroom dry line that didn't reach the other wall & not brilliant evening entertainment. However, the room was a good size & so was the balcony with views of both the hills & the sea. The staff... More

Arrived in early hours with one other couple. Checking in therefore very straightforward, passport information taken there and then and reception staff spoke good English however, we were not taken to our room just had the way pointed to us with vague directions. It turned out we had to carry our cases - I say 'we' when I mean my... More
