The hotel was originally built as a private house in a residential area of Arrecife, a couple of minutes walk from the sea front. There are some stunning villas here with a distinctly Californian look. There is a wide walkway/cycle path along the front, which takes you to Arrecife one way, and Playa Carmen the other. Stayed one week at Villa Vik and loved our stay at the hotel. It’s just as beautiful as in the pictures on the website. It’s a boutique hotel with only 14 rooms in what used to be a private villa. This is an excellent villa hotel with a small number of rooms, (12 to 14), situated between the airport and Arrecife. The hotel was originally a private residence but has been changed into a lovely peaceful spot with great pool and superb gardens containing many little nooks and crannies for sunbathing and relaxing.
