Astoria was better than we expected. + good location, only 3 blocks away from beach, and there were lot of nice, small restaurants nearby, also 2 grocery shops + good breakfast + rooms were clean and quite modern (expecially bathroom) + poll area was really nice and clean, and there was always free places (no irritating reservations) + free wifi... Spent 3 nights here. Nice impressive lobby with lots of seating. The hotel is a couple of hundred metres from the promenade playa de las contreras, and about 10 mins walk to the eastern promenade. A prebooked taxi got us there from the airport for €32 (only €30 for the return). Although the rooms are all ensuite and quite spacious,... More

The Astoria is a somewhat hard hotel to review. Certain things are merely mediocre, whereas other aspects are truly excellent. The location is great. Close to both Playa de Las Canteras and the shopping street Mesa y López and with lots of good restaurants within reasonable walking distance. That last point is important, since the hotel restaurant is located in... More

The Astoria Hotel was clean and presentable at all times and the room we stayed in was large, bright and airy. Our stay included free breakfast which ran for two hours in the morning and there was a decent selection of food to choose from. The hotel facilities went above and beyond the basics, including rooftop pool (albeit on the... More

We stayed here for one week and it was ok. The interior was a bit out-dated but the room was alright and the bathroom nice. The hotel has a lovely rooftop with a small pool but the restaurant is in the basement and is quite unpleasant so I wouldn't recommend it. Our stay included the lunch/dinner buffet which was ok,... Hotel Astoria is a mediocre and old-fashioned hotel in Santa Catalina district. Location is good in case you are interested in shopping and laying on the beach. The hotel is suitable for a few nights stay but I would not recommend it for longer stays as the soundproofing was quite bad and the beds and pillows a bit uncomfortable.

We stayed in Astoria 8th-15t of December and had a nice time :) The staff: - capable, helpful, give you suggestions etc. Take good care of their guests, for example: 1. extra towels and pillows not a problem 2. before the stay we checked if the pillows or blankets were wool/fearher ones as i would get an allergic reaction; they... We stayed at Astoria for two weeks. Hotel is not luxury one, but we got it with very reasonable price, can´t understand why, but anyway we paid only for two persons with flights from Helsinki and back 1400 e/two weeks including breakfast. Breakfast was normal, not english or continental one, but better. And, free wi-fi everywhere in the hotel (exception... More

Very good hotel for the money. Could not fault it . Staff very nice and would go back again next year if Las Palmas was my choice. Food was good and wholesome and if not booked for half board the cost of evening meal was just 10Euro , that was for water and wine + the meal. The bar on... More
