We have been going to SC for many years now as our short haul winter sunshine break and it's old fashioned, gentile charm and elegance never fails to please. We always have the same special comfortable, well appointed room - they never fail to keep it for us - and we go there on a B&B basis - the breakfasts... more

We went to Gran Canaria for a week and did a two centre holiday - 3 nights at the Santa Catalina and 4 nights down in Meloneras. We ummed and aahed a bit on the Las Palmas hotel but in the end plumped for the Santa Catalina and are so glad we did. We booked a junior suite which on... more

We chose this hotel because of the wireless internet connexion in rooms, which was free and worked well (a bit slow though) our room had a balcony with a nice view on the pool the room was big, a bit old styled but fine quiet hotel, relaxing experience we had a rental car and used the casino car park for... more

One of our best weeks away staying in this wonderful hotel. A fabulous location - the park was a delight to walk around before breakfast, before bed and people watching over a beer! Hotel rooms were very comfortable - everything we needed (true no kettle but we have never been in a 5 * that did!) . The terrace bar... more

I cannot belief that I stayed at the same hotel as the last two negative reviews! We had a wonderful relaxing time at the hotel and attached garden. One of Las Palmas's tourist buildings, the Nestor museum, is also on the edge of the garden. As it was Christmas we had a bottle of Cava in one of our rooms... more

I booked this hotel as I was impressed by what I saw and read about it on the travel compantywebsite. I t looked terrific, the location looked terrific and the 5* facilities sounded terrific. When we drove up th e palm lined avenue and caught first site of the entrance I thought it was just as I imagined. It was... more

I chose Santa Catalina due to the 5* rating, the decent web site and a couple of well answered e-mails. But that is where the good experience ended when it comes to customer service. Good things about the hotel: Good location Nice place around Had one of the best massages in the spa and I generally dont complement masseurs. An... more
