Have just returned from a lovely week at the hotel Santa Catalina in las palmas. Room excellent. Standards of cleanliness were very high, Breakfast was excellent and very nice attentive service. The spa pool are was lovely and peaceful with no children under 16 allowed. Although to be fair the hotel was very quiet and we had the spa to... More

One of the best hotels in Las Palmas. It is old, all the famous people were here when they visited the island, even the spanish king. Great breakfast. The only problem, that the swimming pool is not connected to the hotel, you walk through the street to get in.

My husband and I both loved our stay at the Santa Catalina. Beautiful and Historic and comfortable - a total gem. What more could a person want? We stayed in an upper suite (over the entrance), which had a huge entrance, a beautiful veranda which was great for taking photos of the fantastic, carved wooden balconies at the front of... More

Just came back from a short stay with my wife in this stunning old world hotel oozing character and full of history. Arrived by taxi to be meet by the concierge who opened the door, warmly greeted us arranged for our luggage to be taken to our room. First appearance is an old colonial hotel for another era, red carpet... More

Yes you can feel the weight of years a bit everywhere, some wood windows are not completely tight, the lift emits strange sounds, and many items are not last generation... but this is part of the charm when compared with the usual large international chains! Location is good in the middle of the city midway between the old city and... More

Very nice hotel, stylish, professional , polite, skilled personell. We had a junior suite without balcony the first night. This was fixed the next day. Internet slow, in a five star hotel it should be according to best possible standards. Good that no screaming kids are allowed in the spa. Good location if you like walking or anyhow take a... More

My partner booked eight nights for us as a Birthday present. It was a delight to arrive and be welcomed to the hotel by the reception staff. The room was comfortable and overlooked the side of the small park, away from much of the noise. Breakfasts were fantastic, a great selection. The only improvement to that would be to have... More

We had a very comfortable junior suite with a balcony on the second floor overlooking the pool. I was a bit hesitant about booking this hotel based on some previous reviews that suggested that it was a bit dilapidated but it must have been refurbished because, other than the slightly worn carpet on the main staircase, everything else was first... A wonderful historic hotel, oozing character, located midway between the old town and Las Canteras beach. Ideal, if like us you enjoy walking, if not, buses & taxis are plentiful & cheap. All staff we encountered were professional, courteous and helpful. Most of the interior public areas and the exterior are stunning, with preserved original decor and fixtures & fittings.... More
