My family and I stayed at Santa Catalina for 4 nights and loved every minute of it. The room we were in was bright and spacious, overlooking the garden. The staff were professional but friendly and so willing to help with whatever you needed. The rooms are clean and not cramped, nice comfortable bed too. The breakfast is decent with... More

Service, location, friendliness... Yes, yes, yes. But is this hotel going anywhere, or is it living on past glories? It was good enough that we enjoyed our 6 night stay, but would we use it again? I think not, especially as there is the Reina Isabella in Las Palmas. The hotel was comfortable enough, immaculately clean with friendly staff and... More

We stayed for week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves over New Year. The hotel has a colonial style and clearly has been a focal point in Las Palmas for some time and for good reason. The breakfast is great, staff are remarkably friendly and all appear to speak good English. We particularly appreciated the bar service and in the pool area.... More

This is our second stay at Santa Catalina (as part of a package deal) and it was as charming and wonderful as we remember it from two years ago. The public rooms are stunning and how often do you get to have breakfast in a ballroom complete with frescoes and chandeliers? Our room was on the second floor (245) and... More

We had a lovely room on the side , with a balcony overlooking the gardens and the waterfalls. Not as 5 star maybe as some countries but lovely never the less. Only downside was the noise from the guest in the room above us. As the hotel has tile floors and poor acoustic insulation we could hear her tip tapping... More

In a superior room you expect a bit more ... complementary water, no, a decent bathroom, no, some welcome fruit or bites, no, .... all a bit outdated. But it is the overall charme off the hotel welcoming you (not talking about the bad sound proofing, definitely with a beat in the back from a disco till 4.00am....). The staff... More

Good size room a little tired with a terrible shower. Barely slept at all with the kids running around screaming until 1:30am and it felt like our next door neighbors were in the room with us. The restaurant food was ok with slow service but a nice courtyard and very pleasant. The sound proofing is non- existent.

Santa Catalina Hotel is an old beauty. She has has her gems, ---- and som wrinkles. Go there and enjoy it. It´s lovely. Be aware, that the old water system will have a pressure-problem on the upper floors. That will give you sudden cold water when you take your shower in the morning. If you have a musical ear, you... There was a time when I would have given this place a '5' but certainly not for my recent stay. It is a cool old place for sure and the rooms (jr suites on the corner) are quite nice. But… in the past we were given a welcome fruit bowl and complementary water. Not now. It is even hard to... More
