We didn't stay at the hotel but had the chance to eat a fantastic meal at the Hotel Restaurant. I turned up at El Refugio after dark, in the rain and mist in winter, and had no problem securing dinner, bed and breakfast for as long as I cared to stay. I wanted to be in the mountains, but for the best part of a week I barely got a glimmer of sunshine, just more rain and mist. However,... More

We went in winter so it may be different at other times. Before going be aware that the hotel is at 5000 feet - so often cloudy and wet and very cold.
