This is a big place and although everything is very well done, it does have a 'mass produced' aspect to it. The location is superb. The facilities are also excellent. We were in La Gomera for a walking holiday which was superb but the walking in this area is not so interesting.

Nice enough hotel and gardens, Good food, served quickly and you may not need more than 1 after-dinner drink. But the quality of service is variable, the best being reception. A few jobsworths otherwise and getting anything in the middle of the afternoon is not easy ! Hard to get wi-fi, even in the very restricted lobby area it's available.... More

The Parador was our first out of three accommodations in La Gomera. It was also by far the most expensive. The building is wonderful, with an interior court and large magnificent garden, authentic old furniture and a view on San Sebastian and through the whole valley. Get there on foot from the port - 15 min in the stairs: an... More

We visited La Gomera for the night whilst staying on Tenerife. We have always been pleased with other Paradors we have stayed in so the Parador was a natural choice for our stay. The building itself & our room was very nice, as expected. Breakfast was good & dinner was fine if not outstanding. However the most noticeable & disappointing... More

If you are looking for a spacious, relaxing hotel with a balcony with a fantastic view, this is the place on La Gomera. Very old world and solid, with impressive gardens, showing names of a fantastic range of plants. You could spend your time at the hotel, doing not very much and relaxing. Rooms are of a very good standard... More

If you need a restful holiday, this is the place to go. From the well positioned and furnished rooms, to the courtyard with a fountain and comfy chairs, to a lovely pool area and restaurant, almost everything you might need is here. The staff in the restaurant were all fantastic (as was the food), even though we were on B&B,... More

Hit the spot - very relaxing, great character and comfortable. Gardens are particularly magnificent. I would definitely choose a balcony room with sea view again which give an outstanding view of the sea and harbour, but we did hear the ferry engines running all night during the weekend. If you are likely to find the noise disturbing go for a... More

The location of this hotel is wonderful with commanding views from the cliff-top of the bay and town. The gardens are equally exquisite - beautifully shady with fascinating tress and wonderful design. The pool is excellent and includes a number of attractive features. The internal public areas of the hotel are a delight with internal courtyards and planted areas in... More

The hotel was very beautiful, traditionally built and so peaceful. The gardens and courtyards were well planted with lots of places to sit. We had an upstairs room with a sea view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was great but if you don't have a car its quite a steep path back up from the town of... More

We saved what we thought was the best to last. Our last two nights on La Gomera in the parador. We booked a superior twin room with a view and a terrace to make the most of our last couple of nights. On checking in we were shown to a double not a twin room that was anything but superior.... More
